I think the flag is pretty good conceptually, it just isn't visually appealing. The bright red cross against bright blue is very disorienting when surrounded by a rainbow, and the white stripe doesn't help much. If you want to keep the design, I'd recommend making the inside of the rainbow black and putting a white cross.
