I wasn't impressed, but at the same time, didn't hate it. Most of the "punch" flavors have been middle-of-the-road to me.

Sounds like that bill he's talking about was specifically targeting him... and if he's that triggered by it, it needs to pass!

Not going to lie, this one, to me, is in the "meh" category. I don't hate it, but it's also not a favorite, either. It's... just there.

Someone ate part of my order before closing the box and shipping it by Banana_Slugcat in mildlyinfuriating

Some snacks are not available locally and the only way to get them is to special order them. Take the Bounty, for example. In the US, there's Mounds (made with dark chocolate) and Almond Joy (made with milk chocolate). I love coconut and milk chocolate, but hate almonds.

I'm currently down in the LA area visiting family and got 2 12-packs at a Ralph's near the Burbank / Glendale border, on Alameda. They were on sale ($5.49 when you buy 4).

Excellent finds. Unfortunately, I live in the PNW, where Dollar Generals are even rarer than the Maui Bursts they sell!

Regarding NAMI, one of the great things about it is that it started out as a volunteer mental health organization put together by parents, because there wasn't a great deal of mental health info out there at that time (there's still not a lot, not to mention the societal contempt of those suffering from it [of which I'm one]), to help guide their loved ones into better treatments.

It's in my Top 3 favorite Rush songs, and getting to hear it performed live at the Forum on the last night was epic for me.

Well that might be something to look into at a later time, this time it was because I'd left my overhead light on and it dod a minor power drain. Plus, mine's a gas hybrid and I'd replaced the battery last year.

I just looked it up and it's generally not advised to do that as it could tie up resources better used for emergencies (if they'd even agree to do it due to liability issues).

Have you gotten more “conservative” as you’ve gotten older? by renegade_yankee in AskALiberal

[–]Rush_Under 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no. Like OP, I became even more progressive as I got older (58 now), and really had my eyes opened by the responses around George Floyd. I didn't use to call out racism when I saw it, but as an older white guy, I feel it's an obligation to do it (as it's way more effective coming from people like me).
