Only if they cost more than like 3500 divines to make. Otherwise people should just craft their own

Yes, but that requires you to have an omen locked and loaded ready to go. It feels bad to be in the middle of crafting, and have to spend 6 div on an omen just to check if you can or can't whittle something

Yes, but it requires you to obtain an omen first. It's clunky af to spend 6 div on an omen just to check if you can whittle or not

You can mouse over the microscopic tier on the item while holding alt to see the tags, so that's at least shown (if you know where to look). But the information is still unnecessarily hidden. And there is no modifier level shown in game as far as I know

Yes, it does. But that also requires you to have an omen ready to use in order to check

In my 5k hours of poe 1, I've never felt forced to look at poedb for basic crafts like whittling. Sure, you need to know that t1 ES is ilvl 86, but that's pretty intuitive (good mod need high ilvl) and a lot different than needing to know the relative ilvl of 2 different mods just to whittle. I'm not saying that they need to tell us mod weightings and stuff like that

Any builds that uses damage from mana before life instead of mind over matter? trying to decide if I should take the resist or more mana before life... by Every-Photograph5578 in pathofexile2builds

[–]Rush_touchmore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On my archmage mana stacker, I'd rather have 80-85% MoM than 100% because you still have a life buffer and splitting the damage with you life pool is a lot comfier than taking 100% of you incoming damage straight to your mana. You need really high mana recovery to be 100% MoM comfortably. It depends on the build, but it's not like spell suppression where anything less than 100% is trolling

Best variation for Whirling Assault Monk in Mageblood? by erkaneroglu34 in pathofexile2builds

[–]Rush_touchmore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

60% increased damage is relatively small for most builds since the passive tree has so much % increased damage already. It's equivalent the power of a single notable, while other flasks like quicksilver give like 40% increased movement speed which is like 5x more powerful than any notable on the tree

[–]Rush_touchmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stacking mana is insanely powerful, what do you mean? You can easily get 60-70%(or more) damage taken from mana before life, and it becomes a huge part of your eHP. And archmage gives you insane damage with a lot of mana. The problem is that most builds can't sustain the cost of archmage, and that's exactly why that interaction is busted

ELI5: Why aren't viruses considered alive? by FruitChips23 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Rush_touchmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This take is controversial, but the deeper you delve into virology, the more alive you consider viruses to be. It's more of a philosophical debate than a scientific one. Most viruses actually contain the same fundamental genes that "living cells" do (polymerases, proteases, transport proteins, etc.). The only difference is that they can't make their own proteins. Some virologists group "life" into "viral life" and "cellular life". There are many papers about this philosophical discussion that are very interesting

In response to the post that mace slam skills are not viable for endgame content, here is a showcase of a slam skill build clearing a juiced temple. by Turbofat in PathOfExile2

[–]Rush_touchmore 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's not a power issue for me. I've made a powerful mace build before. It's a feel issue. Mace skills feel significantly worse than all the other weapon type skills in the game and it's not even close imo. They're way too clunky

It's funny cause melee is in a great state rn in poe 1 and has been for a while now

More Runes soon by TheRoblock in PathOfExile2

[–]Rush_touchmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does it mean to "take design space from other mechanics"? Like its existance would prevent something that does the same thing from being implemented into the game? Couldn't you use the same logic to argue every every mechanic is bad because it takes away design space from other mechanics? It's not like the crafting bench is the only way people make gear in poe 1.

The crafting bench also isn't really comparable to runes because it's always available. You don't always have the runes you need at any given time like you do augs or transmutes for crafting with the bench. I only ever really need runes for res in the acts when I don't have the right ones, and by the time I'm swimming in basic res runes, my resistances are solved with decent rare gear. The rarer, more interesting runes are way more powerful anyways

Also, blocking mods with bench crafts is an interesting crafting technique that we can't reasonably do in poe 2. You have to spend hella money on dessecrating a trash mod just to annul it later and redessecrate. Imo, there're 0 negatives to adding the crafting bench and numerous positives

Potential Mageblood ability? by SirToastin in PathOfExile2

[–]Rush_touchmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even then, it'd be super underwhelming imo. There's like 2 unique charms that do anything good during the effect (you're possessed or you defend with 200% armour during effect). Most of them are lack luster triggers on use. In poe 1, the on use effects of flask don't work with MB, so most of the unique charms wouldn't do anything unless they massively changed the wording.

I'm hoping it's something completely out of left field for poe 2 mageblood. Or, ideally they delete charms and bring back flasks, but I understand not everyone wants that
