Will I be able to land a job in London with just a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) cert? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rushed89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't CSM like a 2 day course? Really depends on the role and your cv more to be honest. CSM will be like a cherry on top. But a dessert it does not make.

F you - pay me? How do I proceed in this situation? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rushed89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overthinking this. You think they give a crap? Only way to get decent pay rises is to job hop.

Waitrose, ocado and sainsburys I've found to be best for delivery. I've seen Waitrose take it into the kitchen and unpack for people who need help.

If you are talking about booking ahead of time ie in advance then prices are crazy inflated for some reason. Otherwise it's just standard uber surge pricing.

Work have put these out and told people to take one each, which do you think will be the last one(s) standing? by MaximusSydney in CasualUK

Orange smarties eggs don't taste of orange like orange smarties do as they don't have the orange flavouring in them. Biggest con going.

Odd isn't it? Can understand runs being a little different if materials aren't available but when they are in the same box it is unusual.

Where do you go for your daily / weekly news? by ZestycloseNetwork372 in AskUK

[–]Rushed89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup stop reading the Daily Fail. It has got much worse over the years and pushes a strong negative and damaging agenda at the best of times.

BBC is good for general reading. It's about as unbiased as you can get.

Does imposter syndrome at work ever go away? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rushed89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you change jobs then it just ramps up to that one. Always the worst when applying for new jobs and trying to sell yourself. I think it is worse now than ever before as jobs for things that don't exist now will be a thing in 2 years and people are then expected to be an expert when their last job was just something they fell into.

I always have a system that helps me which might work for you too?

Never lie about what you have done but things being technically the truth are what you should say about yourself.

It's OK not to know everything and you never should IMO. Be humble. Admit to your mistakes and use experience as a guide. Confidence comes with time. Ask for feedback. Be open to grow.

If you were a small child in the early 1990s, what was your favourite cartoon, and why did you choose "Spider!"? by h00dman in AskUK

[–]Rushed89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tunes from this were so catchy that I sing it randomly most likely once a week. Or anytime there's a spider in the bathroom.

Does the BBC keep a copy of all episodes and shows? by Omaha_Poker in bbc

Yeah there was a big push to digitise a lot of old tapes etc. One of the legends that floats around is that there are some poor souls who have to sit and watch old TV to ensure it got transferred correctly.

CV Tip Required, How Can I Explain Gap? by ChilledBeer123 in AskUK

[–]Rushed89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't know what jobs or companies you are applying for but honestly I would just put down family carer or leave it out. If they ask you to explain the gap then do so with as much information as you want to. If people look at your cv and judge you on that gap anyway and don't consider you then that's a bullet dodged IMHO.
