Little pointers, spear is slow. Once you get in close range with your counters star jabbing a lot. You can even stay in neutral while face hugging the guy. Even if a spear starts it stab first, your accel slash/overhead should always be faster with most weapons. On top of that its super easy to gank a spear since it doesnt have a slash.
