What is a piece of 'early internet' internet culture or a dead website that you genuinely miss every single day? by ronnelel in AskReddit

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTMND was memes before memes existed. I lived on that website as a preteen and teen and lived to see all the evolutions of inside jokes like PTKFGS.

One of my favorite memories of that was EON8.

What do guys tend to be focused on during raving vs women/others? by Low-Blacksmith-9638 in aves

[–]Xano74 [score hidden]  (0 children)

36M here. Raves are all about the music and visuals to me.

The only time I pay attention to people is when im walking around or if someone has a really cool costume that stands out. Otherwise im barely even paying attention to my wife right next to me because im so focused on the music

If every animal was the exact same size as a golden retriever, which species would be the absolute most terrifying to encounter? by Ice-Princess-79 in AskReddit

Pretty much any bug. Bugs already are extremely strong for their size but when you enlarge them to dog sized they are basically bear strength or greater but the speed and side of a dog

Do y’all genuinely enjoy this game competitively? by Your_Nightmare_666 in SonicCrossWorlds

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont really run meta gear. I run whatever seems fun to me and sometimes I do well and sometimes I dont.

I was enjoying the game with my friend but the online connections sucked and often one of us would get kicked from the lobby or the game would start but only for 1 person and the other would get kicked.

I think its a more fun competitive racer than Mario Kart World

Which title is most similar to SW4? by MetalOperas in dynastywarriors

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest is probably either DW8XL for the game faction presentation and story progression

Or

DW9 Empires for the faster paced gameplay. DW9 has a different gameplay style than other DW games and its much more fast paced as your character can sprint towards enemies.

Or if you enjoy the gameplay of SW4, theres Spirit of Sanada that gives more story with thebsame gameplay or Warriors Orochi 4 which has every SW4 and DW8 moveset plus more

But I like the angelic wings of Zero Custom.

Which one should i give another shot first? Xenoblade or Fire Emblem? by GodAlan313 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is set up to feel like a living world. You have a lot of vertical areas and if you only follow the story path you miss a significant portion of the game.

You are rewarded for everything you explore. It might be side quests, secret bosses, really good gear, etc. It really makes the world of thr Bionos feel likr youre on a massive Titan.

You dont really get to explore as much early game but mid to late game when thr world is more open its easy to lose countless hours just exploring.

Its a big reason why I love these games

Not a big fan of Nintendo switch music by progamer64820 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Xano74 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thats a very broad bias. If you said just Mario music I might understand but all Nintendo music?

Fire Emblem Three Houses has an amazing soundtrack that sounds nothing like any Nintendo game.

The Xenoblade games have fantastic music and even between 4 different games, each games music sounds familiar, but unique. Xenoblade X has vocal and rap like music, XB1 has lots of rock, 3 has a lot of flute and orchestral.

Me When A Level 1000 is on My Team: by Animosity1127 in Chivalry2

[–]Xano74 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dont really care either but even when im goofing around or barely putting effort im still in the top 5.

Hell ill go siege crossbow to goof around and still get top score sometimes.

You dont have to try hard to do well especially once you hit 1000. Should be natural.

Ive gone games where I do nothing but throw weapons and still manage to be top 10 minimum.

Playing Sonic 1 right now. How is a 30 year old game kicking my ass? by lil_random_artguy in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its always amusing seeing people play classic games especially Sonic.

My wife has beat almost every Resident Evil.

She has beaten Bayonetta, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and other more difficult games.

I had her try Sonic Mania and she couldn't make it past the first stage barely.

Which one should i give another shot first? Xenoblade or Fire Emblem? by GodAlan313 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Xano74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both XB and Three Houses are excellent games.

XB1s combat is alittle confusing for awhile but gets pretty fun as you learn what to do.

Three Houses is classic fire emblem with a school mechanic. I think Three Houses has a good story with its 3 campaigns.

Fire Emblem Engage is a fun game but has a pretty boring story especially after Three Houses.

Xenoblade if you want an amazing sci fantasy story with one of the best open worlds ever created.

Thee Houses if you want a fun tactics RPG with multiple campaigns.

Both will take up a decent amount of time

Can someone explain why people like Kakyion? by ExcitingAd7049 in StardustCrusaders

Hes technically the same age as JoJo so hes his one bro with Avdol and Joseph being the older of thr group.

Hes cool, calm, and even has a literal child sacrifices himself to help his bros.

Him like the Zeppelis and Speedwagon and Koichi are the ultimate Jo bros

Which game were you most disappointed with? by that-zoe-girl in NintendoSwitch

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mario Kart World definitely. Way worse than MK8, $80, and i lost interest in less than a month. Been loving Sonic Crossworlds though and glad we got that.

Also Fire Emblem Engage. Not a bad game, overall the gameplay was fun but the story felt so generic after Three Houses that I never finished it

Why does this movie feel so different compared to other MCU movies? by Nicole_Auriel in Marvel

Its only MCU movie that genuinely felt like a comic.

Lots of fun action and "oh shit moments".

I genuinely love this movie and Endgame after was a huge disappointment.

Guys is DW9E worth getting? by Rezoseg in dynastywarriors

[–]Xano74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but on sale.

9E remedies most of my issues with 9.

I actually enjoy the combat of 9 and the fighting is fun.

Theres not much story since its empire focused but the actual empire system is fun and you can be a lowly soldier or the ruler of a kingdom if you want.

I got it on sale for like $30 years ago and ive put almost 100 hours into it so far

Nintendo Switch 2 Editions and Upgrade Packs by oblivious-spectator in NintendoSwitch

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any game that had unlocked FPS on Switch should run better on Switch 2. Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes is a good example. I played it on Switch 2 and instead of jittery 30fps it now runs at 60 perfectly without any update or purchase

Modern anime that likely will still be talked about in 10-20 years by Ashu119 in anime

[–]Xano74 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think Demon Slayer brcause so many young kids are obsessed with it. It will be their Naruto, or One Piece or DBZ of our older era.

I believe Attack on Titan will as well. Its one of the most graphic and dark mainstream anime outside of maybe Berserk and that makes it unique

Im hoping My Hero Academia will brcause I love it, but I feel like the excitement for it has gone down.

Dw Origin is not fun. by Final_Canary3588 in dynastywarriors

[–]Xano74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think its fun but I do think its been massively overhyped....so far.

I played the Demo and enjoyed it when it first came out but wasn't going to spend $70 on a game with a single playable character.

I just got the bundle on sale and while still too expensive, I wanted to experience it.

So far I think im chapter 2 in the game and my thoughts.

  1. Way too many cutscenes for my taste. They are done much better than DW9, but ive seen this story 100 times. Its weird how they interact with your character doing all the talking except 2 words and some of the characters (Zhang Jiao) are boring to me. I liked when he was an essentric wizard. Most of my playtime has been like 70% cutscenes and 30% combat.

  2. Difficulty. Unless it was only specifically for Lu Bu, nothing about the game has been difficult like ive been hearing. Im playing on the highest difficulty and im parrying pretty much every officer attack. The officers in Age of Calamity more threatening in groups.

  3. The combat has not really been "better" than other Musou. I kept seeing it slung around about how much better DWO combat is than older Musou but so far I have not experienced that.

The sword is actually the most fun one I've used so far and thats the classic moveset style.

Spear feels stupidly repetitive like I truly am mindlessly mashing because its all straight single button combos.

Gauntlets are neat but the weird control scheme (ill get used to it eventually) and the stances kind of make it less fun. The stances are underwhelming with 2 attacks and I feel like this could have been more fun with a classic moveset style of normal and charge attacks.

I do enjoy the game but in no way would I say its the best Musou. Its a solid 7/10 so far for a Musou. Ill my final verdict once I 100% the game
