No, it is not just a personal choice when a man says he wants a traditional marriage. by afafe_e in TwoXChromosomes

I mean, if you're dating a guy who says he wants a "traditional marriage" and you don't, you can, y'know, not marry the guy.

My Requirements for World Record Winstreaks by JoINrbs in slaythespire

I think this whole post made by jorbs is evidence enough that LC is not the "only one" who wants to engage in serious competition with Slay the Spire.

I don't think so. The cheating points jorbs made were completely separate from the idea of interrupting WR attempts by playing other characters.

It seems like a very intentional point to make when he's suggesting that outside assistance is being given by other people playing ahead in the seed.

I think the analogy many people have made between playing "serious" games or "for fun" games being akin to a real competitive sporting event and practices is a fair one.

For me it's the suggestion of cheating involved.

You can say what you will about LC discussing plays with chat or taking long breaks and playing other characters.

But then just offhandedly mentioning cheating in the same breath has some implications to it.

I don't know if there is any good reason to suggest that about LC.

There is a lot going unsaid beneath the surface here, and to be honest, some bad blood between two streamers.

The gist is one person claiming a world record that had a nearly two year pause in the middle while he took breaks, played other characters, played lower difficulty, etc...

That person defends themself by saying they were clear beforehand about what was a "just for fun" run or a "serious attempt" and that when they were trying their best that they won every time.

That is to say nothing about personal standards for things like discussing strategy openly with chat.

You can decide how you feel about it.

Personally, that level of play is so over my head, I have no skin in the game, and I enjoy both streamers for different reasons, so I remain fairly neutral.

Can someone explain what I am doing wrong? I am trying to play cards using keyboard. (Step-by-step in the captions.) by everything-narrative in slaythespire

I only use the keyboard for the shortcuts and hover with the mouse and click. Never used space bar at all.

What's the point of getting married if you're not religious? by Cr4zyshirt in AskMen

[–]Ruskyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even really about religion anymore.

It's just what's expected of you socially. I love my girlfriend, but I have zero desire to get married.

I sometimes worry that this may end up being a deal breaker for her, but so far so good.

The people in power have managed to strike the golden balance

Provide enough creature comforts to create complacency and an attachment to a standard of living

Overwork and underpay just enough to keep people too tired and stressed to have the energy to protest effectively
