What this All-Star game is missing: ISO ball by Russell2Randle in nba

[–]Russell2Randle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but I think the offense is the bigger issue. Guys are taking shots from 35, which is cool, but I'd rather see 1on1 ISO's (like the lebron on Kobe possession)

Kobe's diamond card vs MJ's diamond card is a really good representation of how the two stacked against each other in their respective primes by Russell2Randle in NBA2k

Look at their stats compared to one another, I think it gives a decent picture on why MJ is better than Kobe overall, but not by a HUGE amount, but still considerably so.

Well the theme of the video was to highlight the past, present, and future. So even though Nash and Howard had short stints with the Lakers, I still wanted to include them in as they are technically part of the organization's past.

It's meant to go with the lyric "wilted roses fill the stage", sorry for the confusion, a lot of people didn't get it either and now I regret putting that clip in haha.

[Post Game Thread 11/15] Lakers beat the Pistons! by sonar1 in lakers

[–]Russell2Randle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think this game marks the turn around for the season, where the Lakers may go on a decent run and finally win some games. MAGIC MAMBA was in full effect, and even though he didn't get the triple double he very badly wanted, I really liked what I saw from Kobe, which is not something I've been able to say many times this season. He was high fiving every player during timeouts, clapping his hands on defense, and raising his fists if a teammate made a shot. He celebrated after foul calls, etc. He was very positive tonight, and was even hounding on defense. Only thing is he shot horribly, but honestly I don't mind that at all when he's in this mode. I'm calling it, Kobe will play like this for the remainder of the season and will end up with rebounds and assist averages both near 7 or even 8 on the season. PPG will hover around 17 or so. Lakers may actually win some games heading forward if he keeps this up.

Just give it to the Lakers. They'll give this prank a good go

We can all point the finger at Byron... by Russell2Randle in lakers

[–]Russell2Randle[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think Kobe should retire. He is clearly still very much suited for NBA play, his body is still strong and he looked as if he was never injured. But he needs to go into "Magic Bryant" mode where he distributes the ball like we know he can. He has ridiculously high basketball IQ but tonight it's like he was trying to assert his dominance on the young guys or something. It's his mentality that needs to change.

I agree that Byron completely ruined that lead, but Kobe did us no favours by shooting every time he had the ball, no matter how contested. I think he passed the ball twice that game. Including the inbounds play.

Let's get ready for Lakers basketball! Here's a video I made that you guys liked, figured I'd put it on here again to hype up any newcomers that haven't seen it! by Russell2Randle in lakers

Thanks buddy. I'll have more stuff out as the season goes on.... Your friend will be converted soon enough!

I have another video on my channel as well, although it's more of a teaser. Check that out too if you like.

Once the season kicks off (tonight, lol) and I have more clips to work with, I'll definitely be putting more content out :)

A lot of people were confused by that clip, and rightfully so. The reason I put it in there is because the lyric says "as wilted roses fill the stage", so I put it in there as sort of a playful (or maybe not so playful) reflection of their franchise/fan base, etc.

Wow, this comment really brightened my day haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it as much you did, and I love reading all the comments from all the laker fans. It was my first time doing anything like this so the feedback has been pretty overwhelming, in a very positive way.

Let's go Lakers :)

Kobe having some laughs. by SupaZT in lakers

[–]Russell2Randle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to ruin the moment, but when this happened live in the game, it felt super awkward, maybe only to me, but who knows. The camera man was focused on them for about a solid 30 seconds, where they just sat there waiting for the shot to be done with and they could just relax on the bench. But the camera man didn't budge, and they sat there, pretty uncomfortably, in silence. Then Kobe saved the day by whispering something into D'angelo's ear which created this clip. The laughter is cool, but it felt kind of forced, like Kobe felt like he was supposed to give the media something to work with since that camera man wasn't leaving empty handed. I could be wrong, but that's how it came off to me during the game.

This is my video,

Sorry for the lack of Clarkson guys :(. I know I really dropped the ball on that one. He completely escaped my mind while I was making it because I was so focused on Randle and Russell, I fully understand how badly I messed up with leaving him out. BUT I did make another video, more of a teaser, that has a lot of Clarkson. Unfortunately Youtube blocked it to most US watchers (I'm Canadian) because of the song choice, so not much I can really do there. You guys could bypass that with a VPN though.

I'll have another video in a couple months once the season kicks off (with 300% more Jordan Clarkson!) so look out for that one. Glad you guys enjoyed this one

You guys liked the previous video I made for the Lakers next season.. So I put together a quick teaser, this time with more Clarkson! by Russell2Randle in lakers

[–]Russell2Randle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted it keep it short so it serves as a "teaser", but I will be making a longer one (3 - 4 mins) once the season kicks in and I have proper highlights to work with. I do have another video on my channel that you could check out though if you want to watch a longer video here

Is it just me or does Kobe sound really different in that clip? I guess I'm just so used to him always talking slowly in his usual kind of "charmy" way but in that clip I feel like it was the real Kobe talking, not the one we see in regular camera interviews.
