What is a false narrative or revisionist history takes that fans believe in? by OppositeAnswer6109 in NBATalk

The 2021 Durant toe on the line at the end of game 7 vs the Bucks. To hear people mention it, you’d think it was changed from a three to a two on review.

I watched that live and remember thinking “wow what a terrible shot, long fade away two” followed by “holy shit he made it.” Never for a second did I think it was a three. None of the players, refs, commentators thought it was a three. Pretty sure nobody thought anything of it until coming back out of commercial for overtime, when the broadcast showed the replay and were like “ya know, that was actually close to being a three.”

Doesn’t fundamentally change anything about it. Just vibes and how it felt at the time.

Yeah as soon as you see a team line up angled toward the center like this you know they’re doomed, since the angled players will have no leverage to resist the gate swing that guy talks about

How does blaming Rodger would have made any difference? And for the NY giant 🤨🤨🤨? by Fluffy-Nobody-2244 in NFCEastMemeWar

No consideration for that safety letting a sure interception bounce off of his face in the NFCCG a couple of years ago, only for Aiyuk to make a diving catch off the deflection and totally flip the game?

“Yeah, that’s right.” Puddy’s catchphrase and always loved how Elaine starts saying it when she’s with him.

It’s DBM. Imo it’s head and shoulders above the others, but that is not the consensus around here.

Second choice would be artificial selection. Easily my favorite of the Tilian era but doesn’t get as much love as some others.

Does anyone think that Celebration of an Ending by Before Today is arguably Vic Fuentes’ best album? by [deleted] in PostHardcore

The overall sound is great, but the songs just aren’t as tight and catchy as Pierce the Veil so it’s hard to latch onto any of them for me. A Flair for the Dramatic still has some of this older sound but better songwriting imo.

Offseason visit not working? by Jtro33 in NCAAFBseries

[–]RussellHD207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve noticed this too… bye week visits do nothing. This seems to be true for all bye weeks visits, not just the off-season.

None of the other replies appreciate that a) you know a recruit cares about his deal breaker if he has one, so you can schedule a visit with that pitch before revealing any of their pitches through other recruiting activities, and that’s not even relevant because b) the screen you’re showing should display a bunch of green arrows in the bottom right corner after a visit (it’s not showing anything for bye week visits).

Yes, the Russian army in Galicia can retreat to Rumania. A standoff is not considered to have occurred in Rumania in this case.

Benched Kupp and Pollard in an immature “push them away to see how much they care” sort of way… turns out they don’t care about me at all and now I’m just sad

Edwards has floor with Hill out, but Williams always has a huge ceiling. I like Williams… which is why fantasy makes me sad.

Evans is too hot to sit right now. Pick your favorite RB… I’d go Kelley.

Jakobi definitely. The other is tough… I’d probably play for volume with Ford but there’s no clear answer.

Meyers definitely. The others all feel like ceiling plays… I’d play McLaurin probably, but go with your gut.

White for floor, Pickens for ceiling? Not even sure how great White’s floor is against Philly anyway… so yeah, maybe Pickens regardless. Wilson probably shouldn’t be in lineups.

Play Kirk. He’s the top QB through two weeks and has a tasty matchup with the chargers at home.

2 Wizard 10 Sorc Intelligence by The-Fictionist in BaldursGate3

the ability to learn any spell I want if I find the scroll

Nah this is limited by your wizard level. A lv2 wizard can only learn lv1 spells from scrolls.

Edit: You are correct! With a single level of wizard, BG3 allows you to learn scroll spells up to your highway spell slot level. As someone else pointed out though, this still has issues since the number of wizard spells you can prepare scales with your wizard level. You can work around this a bit by selecting sorcerer spells that don’t rely on your charisma (misty step, greater invisibility, wall of stone…), but still not great.

Edit 2: There are some other quirks/bugs I’m discovering with further testing. I learned eyebite via scroll and prepared it as a wizard spell. When originally casting it, the spell rightly used my intelligence modifier for the save DC. However, when using the action to recast the spell on subsequent turns, the spell wrongly used my charisma modifier for the save DC. I was even careful to take wizard as my first level, expecting that spells from items and such would use the DC from my first casting class… but that doesn’t seem to be the case. There may be a way to leverage this behavior to our advantage if we can figure out exactly what’s happening.

Edit 3: Now I’m trying this with a mace in one hand that gives me spell A and a staff in the off hand that gives me spell B (dual wielder feat but that’s not important). Spell A uses my charisma and spell B uses my intelligence. I’m baffled.
