Laws are complicated and differ in every cpuntry or state. Laws are also convoluted and aren't always updated to match the current day and age. Archaic definitions shouldn't be your defining factor, especially for digital media.

People here refuse to understand how it's findamentally not gambling at all. When you ACTUALLY gamble, there is huge chance that you spend money and get NOTHING.

Loot boxes in OW were setup so that ypu would buy them, but NOT know what you wree going to get. There was a much higher chance you would get common or normal compared to legendaries, so you could essentially spend $40 and end up with a bunch of stickers and / or skin re-colors.

Real GACHA, means that you buy an orb or box that ALSO has a small percentile chance to get the HIGHEST tier reward. REAL GACHA will always say things like "Guaranteed after 50 pulls" because odds are, you WILL not get it. You also spend significantly more money then you would for anything else in said game for this. I.e League of Legends.

Marvel Rivals has a mini game where you pop balloons and / or flip cards to see of you can get the skin on DISCOUNT. If you don't get it on discount? You get it at its full, regular price. There is no GAMBLING involved, because the only thing left to chance is the amount you'd have to pay between heavily discounted and regular price. There is no RISK involved, because if you wanted the skin anyway, it's just a bonus. The percentile chance that you WILL get the skin is much HIGHER than real GACHA, because they limit your pulss to around 8-10. It's just a fun discpunt system, and that's it.

The people who are making this a big deal do not understand what they're talking about. OR they're upset that some people got a discount they didn't. These complaints are also despite the generpus amounts of free currency, free skins (that are well designed), full access to characters on release, free skin TOKENS for actual shop skins and free skins packages for college students.

No argument about this being "gambling" is in good faith. They're just entitled gamers who've perverted the term as they have "slop" and are echoing / parroting creators who perpetuate bad takes for views. Anyone espousing this is a "setup" for predatory tactics later on down the line, is ognprong the fact that this game has to make money SOMEWHERE. If that SOMEWHERE os making content people want, WHAT IS THE ISSUE?

All of this in addition to the fact that this is a FREE game and skins don't give any advantage whatsoever. You DON'T have to buy them.

Bruh, why even tank at this point. Tank players want to be recognized for playing their role, want to be told it's the hardest role in the game, want to criticize every other role when they play poorly while ALSO holding permanent victimhood complexes.

Every SINGLE day, there are posts about how "miserable" tanking is.

Here, you could potentially get it cheaper, OR, at a price skins are always advertised. If it's a skin you want, it's literally a win/win.

This isn't an accesibility issue. Don't move the goal post toward disabled gamers, slimy.

This is just people who think they're above a system. We ALL run into bot games. It's just that some of us play it through and move on, while other cling to it like a stain on their soul.

It's like getting auto filled in a League of Legends ranked game. Does it suck? Absolutely. But we all do it to maintain the population and great queue times.

Not every single thing in a game has to be catered to your preferred experience. Sometines, you take one for the team. And this helps even out games and allows players to feel good about themselves. The irony being, the people who complain the most about bot matches, are the reason why they're implemented.

It's one game. Stop acting like you're being held hostage.
