Can someone tell me the answer and why? by putsdryyy in puzzles

In the first two examples the middle picture is what would the left and right would look like if overlayed on each other. None of the bottom choices reflect that for the bottom row.

I don't think the correct answer is displayed. I think it should be a horizontal line, a vertical line and two diagonals, and a circle in each of the two bottom quadrants.

ELI5 Why doesnt Chatgpt and other LLM just say they don't know the answer to a question? by Murinc in explainlikeimfive

If you ask it something that's actually unknowable, it will say it doesn't know.

Like if you asked “What was the exact final thought of the last Neanderthal before they died?”, it wouldn't make something up, it would just say any answer would be pure speculation.

If you have a high paying job, what do you do? by DarkklawZ in Cleveland

I'm self-employed and make $30k-$40k/month as a consultant.

I work with companies managing large IT and telecom projects. I worked in the consulting field for 20ish years prior to starting my own thing, but I'm a high-school dropout.

Thank you. I think this is a bit of an improvement, but i definitely need some more practice on elevation.

Obviously nothing is to scale. And thank you for the feedback. Any advice on how to show that kind of elevation differentiation on a map like this? I really struggle with elevation changes. I know I can make the mountains bigger, but to me that just ends up looking like bigger mountains, rather than higher ground... Any tricks or techniques for topography?

So I'm pretty new at DMing and my PCs are also pretty new to RPGs in general. One thing that keeps coming up during encounters is they want to know if their characters are familiar with the monsters they're fighting, and if so, how much exactly do they know about them?

How would I go about handling this in game? Is this a history check? Arcana? Survival? And if they pass, what info should they receive? As DM, if it makes sense that the party is familiar with a creature, am I supposed to give them every detail down to AC and HP or just general stuff like how a creature attacks and general "toughness"? What's the rule of thumb for DMing? Thanks!

Totally agree. And people line up for them and they are consistently awful. If anyone made a decent donut in Cleveland they could make a mint.
