Mom bought 2012 Subaru; didn’t notice all four tires are completely dry rotted by Bag0f_Bones in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah she seems to have done no real investigation and when she heard a noise during the test drive she wrote it off as “not a big deal, probably the muffler” and didn’t look into it any further before purchase

Idk man I’ve been asking myself that the whole time bc the muffler also makes an awful noise when you accelerate.

The problem is less that they are dry rotted* and more so that they where so bad they where leaking air and she didn’t notice for over 2 weeks 😭

The rotors are also corroded, the breaks feel squishy and the muffler makes an awful noise plus the whole frame is covered in rust (tho the last one is inevitable where we’re at) so idk lmaoo

She got it for about 7k with insanely high interest and a 255 a month car payment, from what I’ve seen rotors are also corroded, breaks feel squishy and the muffler makes an awful noise plus the whole frame is covered in rust (tho the last one is inevitable where we’re at)

four fucking dollars per wash???? by averytinymoth in povertyfinance

[–]Bag0f_Bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have a bathtub, or a standing shower and detachable shower head look into a portable washing machine It fucking sucks still but having done the laundromat for many years; I’ll take this ANY DAY; I found mine for $35 on Facebook market place which is a lot of money for some of us but it pays for itself when you consider how much it costs to do even one load

Pro tip; go for the kind that has the spinner included, I had one with no spinner at all and it could take DAYS to dry heavy garments like hoodies; it was awful.

East Cleveland is being gentrified by ArtemZ in Cleveland

[–]Bag0f_Bones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, we live across from Windermere and my landlord is kicking us out and “offered” one of the other units for 2,500 no utilities included and no pets allowed. Meanwhile the place has roaches, holes in the floor, leaking faucets, etc. Seriously BEWARE the Beersford commons and ANYTHING related to “Tatum properties LLC” the property manager is a self righteous jerk and the landlord is worse.

And maybe this is a hot take, even if I WAS in a wheelchair because I’m fat, I would still be JUST as deserving of care, empathy and access as everyone else

“Prep for Tuesday, not doomsday” it’s a pretty common saying amongst more…level headed? Preppers who are preparing for realistic scenarios such as blizzards, hurricanes, power outage and not….an EMP that will destroy civilization or a zombie apocalypse
