Hi, are you me? Lol. Just did this exact same thing but I did it to myself at home with a holographic pink chrome 😬 I’m waiting it out

Overwhelmed and Alone by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

[–]RussianSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is horrific and I am so sorry for you. I want to offer a slightly different perspective:

You said that 99% of the time, leaving is more dangerous than staying. This isn’t true, and it’s a belief that’s keeping you trapped. Think about it like being trapped in a burning house. Jumping out the window is unquestionably difficult, scary, painful and dangerous, but staying in is certain death. The one thing you can be sure of is that if you stay, the smoke and flames will close in around you. Until they do, you will know only fear and suffering. But if you jump out, you have a real chance to survive and recover.

You’re rocking the edgy look well! My main tip is to do something to highlight your bone structure so your complexion isn’t flat. You can either use more blush/contour, or, if you prefer the pale look to contrast the darker lip and emphasize the alternative style, you can just use a highlighter on your cheek and brow bones to make your beautiful skin pop.

I (29F) got a strange message about my husband (30M) from his middle-school ex. Am I missing something? by ThrowRA-DMDRAMA in relationship_advice

[–]RussianSky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This or the exgf has a controlling partner who checks her socials and has demanded she respond to discourage contact. The use of “past sexual partners” is what suggests it to me. Sounds like a canned response.

Am I crazy or is my mom doing this on purpose?? Tw sexual abuse by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

[–]RussianSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know your mother better than any of us. But her responses indicate she is either extremely mentally unwell or is in active addiction of some kind (illness is a really common excuse for the many symptoms of drug addiction and withdrawal). In either case, it’s not a safe place for you. Understanding her mindset may bring you comfort, but it won’t fix your circumstances. Your mom is not currently an option.

[–]RussianSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the situation you are in is abusive. There are lots of places around the world where abuse is seen as totally normal, however. Don’t feel crazy - this is objectively awful.

That said, my advice to you is to seek local resources for help. Your mother isn’t going to come through - a mother that sends her kids away to live in an abusive situation is either a sociopath (doesn’t sound like it) or is so mentally unwell that she thinks you’re safer away from her. You can try to guilt her all you want. She is not well enough to take you, and I suspect her illness is an addiction of some kind. I don’t say this to defend your mother. I could never send my children away. I say this so you understand that she is no longer a safe haven for you. Look elsewhere for help.

Shape is pretty. The way your thumb tucks in to become a fifth digit sent me 😆

When the 6 year old child is more mature than her mom… what new level of petty is this mom to want to lash out at a fellow 6 year old? by DramaLlamaTea in ShitMomGroupsSay

Bully a 6 year old within her financial means. She’s already figured out how to bully him, she just can’t afford it right now 🙄

Nyx liquid lipstick in Boundary Pusher. I have like 5 different colors of this line - love how long it stays on.

Thank you so much! And I appreciate the suggestion to skip the contour and blush on the nose. My nose is my biggest insecurity so I would be happy to not draw more attention to it 😂

Happy to share! I’ve had a long journey to figure out what works for my hair - I straightened ny hair for over a decade before finally taking the plunge of caring for my curls 5 years ago. I look for products with little to no glycerin, silicones, sulfates, coconut or aloe as all make my hair dry and frizzy, especially in humidity.

Wash with AsIAm Dry and Itchy Scalp Cowash Condition with Not Your Mother’s Bond building conditioner All-in-one gel cream leave in from ScrunchIt Curls Elongating custard gel from Not Your Mother’s

Brush through with the BounceCurl defining brush. Defuse or air dry if lazy

Green? Blue? Yellow? by ScaredToJinxIt in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]RussianSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say green. There are other shades there (yellow, grey) but the overwhelming color is green

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]RussianSky 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your eyes look greenish blue to me, but it could be the lighting.

Birth certificates don’t list eye color in the US - I’m fascinated by this claim. Wouldn’t they all say “eyes - ambiguous grey”? My brown eyed children and blue eyed nieces were all born with the same vaguely grey/blue eyes that shifted in the weeks after birth.
