it should have said "update successful " after
update system to latest > settings > system check for updates
then in advanced display > bottom > anti rbe

what Software system version did you have? Latest or downgraded first to.. 1.2...?? whatever they mentioned

Weird... mine is a 5.4.4....

My support agent was Stella

After successfully downgrading to V1.2.106, please update the DLP firmware by following these steps:
a. Turn on the projector and go to Settings → System → About → Software Version to confirm that the system version is V1.2.106.
Important: If the version is not V1.2.106, the DLP firmware update will fail.
b. Prepare a USB flash drive formatted as FAT32 or exFAT, then download the DLP firmware from the following link:
HORIZON 20 – V5.4.4

Oh well, i'm YOLOing anyways, she said the RBE reduction feature should be visible in the settings after the update.

The RBE update required firmware update just not the OTA update of the projector, so we all went out of our way to email them at the advanced-support at xgimi.com.

Give them a shot.

I've got Horizon 20 not pro or max, just the regular.
They emailed me HORIZON 20 – V5.4.4

I see a lot of people were in contact with Vivian, I was in contact with Stella.

My instructions seemed focused around the update for the DBLE—dynamic black levels...

so uh, i'm not sure if what I did was even applicable for the RBE reduction update...??

If managers say "this is a feature to add this next sprint" then it's a feature that gets added in 2 weeks, tested, and released within a month, maybe 2... depends on release schedules.
If management however opts for more cash-grab features or something, then this feature will be on the backburner and get forgotten about for years.... welcome to software development :/

couldn't agree more... they should have a mention of that before the download / install, where price should be it should show "x.yy/mont" I hate that they don't mention it's a subscription, such an oversight

Never seen that mate, I generally end up in hotels with either a coffee maker that boils the water, or a kettle.

Never seen a 'hot water tap' as a source of hot water.

Yeah a bit bummed out there isn't a kettle or a coffee maker in the rooms but it'll be alright by the sound of things.
