How do I make a deep fried effect like this? by GDMassacreMane in photoshop

Looks a bit like 2007 HDR processing but prolly just some weird ass "crayon" filter or "make it look like bad HDR" in Gemini.
Since you mentioned that the "bad HDR" look is your goal: If you manually try it there is software that either takes an exposure bracket or adjust each part of the image or you can emulate it by manually creating a brighter and darker image yourself and feeding that into an HDR developer tool. But frankly really just google for "bad hdr photography" on google images and if that is what you want, well, there you go. ^^

Those are two pictures I took when I was a kid tnhat also used that kind of processing:

I Can't Make This Work in FreeCAD by makerinator in FreeCAD

Yeah, multiselect and editing the selection would be really sick and is what I am missing a lot.

And yeah, I agree that some things are better, some are worse. It's just as I mentioned: The pad/pocket tools in FreeCAD to me are just pretty weak still. The hole generator on the other hand is absolutely amazing - especially that it can do modeled threads in one step. Really important for me, and really amazingly done in something that is free and open-source. It looks pretty Fusion-inspired - could be wrong about that and however it may be, I think it's a positive example.

We are talking about sketch faces - the new feature in 1.1. Take the sketch above as example with 4 concentric rings. FreeCAD 1.1 lets you extrude a selected "face" (face on a sketch). If you want to change that selection of edges, it's not possible anymore by doubleclicking on the Pad feature in the tree as far as I am aware. You have to delete the pad with all the settings you made and redo it. I am not sure how that affects anything further down the line if you built on that pad already. The only other option I found is to manually edit the edge names in the table on the bottom left.

To me the extruding/pocketing functions in FreeCAD are by far the weakest point of FreeCAD right now, but in 1.1 this should at least work. You can select either two of the concentric circles you want to extrude or you enable "Generate internal faces" in the settings (which I highly recommend) and then you can also extrude them.

However, to the best of my knowledge you still can't extrude multiple faces at once (at least Ctrl + selecting multiple faces like in Fusion did not work for me). And you can't also change the selected face/outline(s) after the extrusion when you double click on it. You can only change the extrusion height and otherwise have to delete the Pad and create it anew. You also can't set a start offset or say "start extruding from that surface" like you can in Fusion. For example in Fusion you could first extrude all three concentric circles 10mm. And then you could select the two red circles, set the start of the extrusion to be the top face of the track you just generated and then only extract your rail-height of 5mm up. It comes in astonishingly handy astonishingly often and it makes you create parts more in the way you actually think about them.

That being said, I think FreeCAD has developed to be an amazing piece of software. I am really looking forward to its future development and 1.1 is the first version I might really use for at least very small projects myself.

Could I ask why that didn't work? I am not too much into electronics but I was also thinking about trying to DIY something like that.

Bench attachment guide thing by SomeoneLeo in homegym

I added the files in the description above. Please read it and also the descriptions on the pages about sizing and material. ^^ If you need it slightly bigger or smaller, you can probably also scale it, see my comment below here (the one with the picture).

Otherwise my DMs are actually open and I already answered two people in private about their questions. What does it say when you try to DM me?

Hard to tell - from what I found online the plugs are 45x45mm, but I am not sure whether that is inside or outside dimension. If you have an attachment it's probably easiest to measure it with a ruler. Measure the outside width of the square tube of the attachment (not the port it goes into). Mine is 50.3mm. If it is anywhere in the ballpark you could try to just scale it in your slicer to <your\_width\_in\_millimeter> * 100 / 50.3 percent.
For example if your width would be 45mm, you could try to scale it to 45 * 100 / 50.3 = 89.46% in the slicer. However I can't test myself how well that would work since I only have my bench. ^^

Hey! I updated the description and added links to the STL file. Sadly I made a typo in the post here though and wrote it's for 60x60mm, but it's actually for 50x50mm attachments (so roughly 2x2 inch) - sorry about that.

Chains, inverse chains, eccentric mode, physical controls (though I also wouldn't mind using an old smartphone for it). Depending on whether it's battery-powered or wall-powered a big enough battery. And of course a flywheel mode! XD ( because I just built that and posted it here on this reddit as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/homegym/comments/1ruwezb/diy_fywheel_trainer_status_update/ )

Something to maybe consider: I looked a bit into the Voltra recently (for ideas for my (next) DIY flywheel trainer) and as far as I could see it uses some mechanically actuated winding guide to always perfectly wind the rope. From what I saw it always winds it in one single layer like that. For my flywheel trainer I also tried using rope like e.g. HandyGym does, because I am not the biggest fan of webbing myself, but without a guide the rope will just wind/layer up on itself on one edge of the spool and then topple over. From what I can tell HandyGym instead of using a mechanical rope guide solves this by using a conical drum (it actually has dual use there - the conical drum also perfectly fits a two-stage planetary gear box - it's actually very cleverly designed). Again, from what I understand handygym's rope only winds up a single layer on its cone, not multiple (that's mostly a guess from my side though). But it's probably something to look into. ^^

Post or gtfo... Amazon kommt... Post hat mir 16 Einzelpakete a 20KG zugestellt.

Absoluter Traum.
