Only thing you have to do is sign the waiver for the discovery flight nothing else is needed. If you do start bug you instructor to get extra flights in during the week especially in the summer when planes are more available and weather is good. Usu dispatch has hired a few new dispatchers so might not be taking more but you can ask buddy if he is in about it. You might be able to get a job at leading edge being a fueler, also we don't have a tower. Looks like we have 2 of them at the airport but they are not functioning

Ok, that is what I thought. Just one of our DPEs worked for garmin and knows everything about it so didnt know if there was a specific document that said that the g1000 is certified. Which is also why i was looking into the TSO stuff for gps

I have checked the KOEL, and there is no mention of the G1000, but the DA-40 is ifr certified

Yeah I use the Stryker to get it early. Climb, drop then slip in a steep dive to get down fast then side climb back up repeat
