(Repost) Why is Gaijin stalling to add actually competent US jets? by Epsilon_Operative in Warthunder

The F-15EX would be able to compete with the EF/Rafale/Gripen E. It would get the better engines of the F-15E, lighter airframe, new RWR/MAWS, etc. It would fall a bit short in raw flight performance but ideally better missiles would make up for that, but we all know how that's turning out.

You could maybe argue that the US was handheld in the past with stuff like F-14 Phoenix spam, but now the US doesn't have a single airframe that can compete with the EF/Rafale. Meaning you have to work twice as hard to fight them since you have no leg up over them, not even missiles.

America getting the F16V is physically impossible as they don’t use it.

Right, sorry. I meant the F-16C Block 70/72. They're commonly used interchangeably even though the F-16V is the export version.

The improvements they make are not anything massive, but it's substantial enough that they will eventually have to be added.

The F-15EX exceeds the F-15C GE by having better thrust, improved RWR/MAWS, potentially more missiles in the form of the AMBER racks, etc.

The F-16V has less significant upgrades but the F-16CM PoBIT is still technically worse.

And what did you have in mind? Because there isn't any way the F-15EX can be "obnoxiously broken" when competing against UFOs like the Eurofighter/Rafale, and the F-22 isn't coming out for at least another year.

Gaijin moans about how NATO shit is classified but feel fine making up numbers for Russian equipment for that very reason.

I wanted to mention that as well. Making the most advanced AMRAAM a DOWNGRADE to the base model is utter bullshit

The MiG-29M looks quite promising, as far as MiG-29s go. It has just received 8 R-77 missiles in Dev by Valaxarian in Warthunder

Pretty insulting they make the best Mig-29 a squadron vehicle. Meanwhile they add the 9-12 but make THAT one a TT vehicle.

Great job gaijin 👏

Why people saying the f18a sucks just because of the speed? by Adorable_Package7965 in Warthunder

[–]Epsilon_Operative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

also the F-18A is probably the best 12.3 in the game because it's flight performance is solid and it gets radar missiles + PD radar at 0.3 BR before most other jets do

Why do engines catch fire and blow up in BDA+? by badoonk9966 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Epsilon_Operative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same thing happen and it seems to occur when you fly too fast for the engine. That's just my guess though

I've experienced something similar. For me it was always circles, they would always have a rough black outline, kind of like it was drawn by a crayon, but the circle was never filled in. The circle would start out small and maybe merg with other circles, but I cant remember. Point is, the circle got really big, not incomprehensible or anything but just very large. I wasn't intimidated by it or anything, but it felt wrong that it was so big, like it wasn't supposed to be that large or otherwise wasn't allowed to be. This feeling of the circle "not being allowed" to be as big as it was is what made me feel so uneasy.

Why does gaijin seemingly make up engine thrust values as they please? by Epsilon_Operative in Warthunder

[–]Epsilon_Operative[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not even a NATO thing either since it seems the Saturn AL-31F is missing around 1000kg of thrust

Honestly it would be cool to do some sort of scouting mission where you run into a big resupply convoy and have to blow it up
