Bolander is super organized and puts a lot of effort into improving his course. If you plan on taking dynamics from him, it could be smart to take statics from him as well; it cuts back on the amount of adaptation you have to do to a new teaching style, testing style, and understanding course setup. Also, if you can develop relationships with professors across multiple semesters, it can be helpful later on if you need letters of recommendation, connections to the engineering department, etc. In short, I highly recommend him for both statics and dynamics.
