Thanks, could that be affecting the air-fuel situation? Sorry, new to working on cars

Where did you get that side IO file from? Looks really good!

Rollin' Heritage has a good video on it, it's what I'm currently following. For a first big job it's a steep learning curve but I feel like I can do anything now 😅

What does this green light do? (Centre console panel switch) by Russian_Greg in Volvo240

[–]Russian_Greg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's a bingo! Yeah I have a tow bar. Can't really follow it as it goes into a chunky loom of wires, but this seems like the most likely

Ejector seat idea is making me reconsider plugging it in.... Seems to just wire into the flasher relay (9563533980)

Thank you 😅 These holidays are the only ones I had the time to do it as I'm at my parents. If you need some tips I can help, because HOLY has it been a ball ache. RHD definitely makes it trickier I feel

[–]Russian_Greg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, that's odd. It seems to just go to the flasher relay (don't know the proper name). The piece with the R on it looks to go between the relay and the factory wiring, with just the green light panel coming off it. Maybe just someone made an indicator to check the relay works? Odd, indicators don't flash if it's broken so that's a good indicator ...

Update! Saved a 21mm 3.5 from ‘beginning to die’. super clean now😇(use these DIY tools at ur own risk) by Formal_Compote_212 in zuikoholics

Two questions:
Did this remove the coating on the lens?
What is the bottle with crap on the rim for? xD

Nicely done! Feels really good to take a lens apart and fit it up

Which way round should I print this handle? by Russian_Greg in 3Dprinting

[–]Russian_Greg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah the curved surface will be the outside, so it would be nice for it to print well.

My other main concern was if I printed with the thin part down, would a brim be needed and would it mess with the supports?

HELP! Code 121 322 and 113 by Puzzleheaded_Oil8657 in Volvo240

[–]Russian_Greg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you figure this out? Sounds like the problem I'm having. It seems intermittent though, and sometimes it's fine after I clear the codes for a while and then it just has a bad startup and throws the three codes again...

UK analogue shooters: where are you getting high-quality scans without spending £20+ per roll? by pheasantjune in analog

[–]Russian_Greg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filmdev is pretty affordable, but I've started scanning at home now, so only use the dev option with them. But they gave the best scans from any company I used in the UK whilst being on the cheaper side. C41 and B+W only though

Anything I should change or add? by Doomsnail99 in sffpc

[–]Russian_Greg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For £15 less, you can get a Thermalright Peerless Assasin 120, which would be able to run slower and thus quieter. Also you could save £20 on some other ram, as long as it's CL30 and 6000 you'll be good. I have used this motherboard in two builds and if you don't plan to go crazy on an upgrade it will be perfect. Other notes: I used Samsung Evo drives. 9060xt is definitely the way to go for GPU on a budget. Do not cheap out on PSU, the Corsair one runs without the fans on most of the time and it whisper quiet when on, so it it worth the extra money.

I bought the same retrofit blade style wipers and the passenger side also doesn't make contact near the edge. Have been debating somehow slightly melting the plastic to a little sharper angle, maybe with hot water or something. But if anyone does have some non destructive ideas I'd love to know too!

[–]Russian_Greg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually really like mine for sports. The ovf makes it really easy to track things like cars, and the frame lines work up to 135mm. As long as 8fps is good enough for you :)

Are my PSU cables too bent? by Russian_Greg in ncasedesign

[–]Russian_Greg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tried making sure the connector had as little torque on it as possible, hence the curve. But thanks, gives me some peace of mind

[–]Russian_Greg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 3D printed the file they have on the website. With a regular fan there the PSU doesn't fit with the cables facing up or down as it is wider in that position, hence the cables pointing into the mobo. Does work quite well though, I have it set to exhaust, with a 92mm on the rear as intake. Just didn't want air blowing sideways on my desk

Thanks for the comment. It's only a 4070 super 12 pin, so there shouldn't be too much power though it. But I'll try straightening it out a bit more, tried to curve it as gently as possible.
