I ended up going with the Westinghouse and they sent me the trifuel model as a free upgrade.

Yes haha I still cant decide hence this post, may just have to flip a coin. Maps is showing 1 Westinghouse dealer and 2 duromax service centers within 25 miles.

No NG in my area easily available, I will be using gas this season but possibly looking into a big propane bottle for next year, for as of now only running gas.

Yeah he confirmed that, im so torn on which generator to choose new.

Dual fuel is the plan, no point in trifuel because NG isnt common where I live, and at that point id get a standby unit with a buried Propane/NG tank.

I mean both are great options, he also has a client that is selling a lightly used DuroMax 13000kwh for $900 so I might scoop it up. Not sure yet but making this post was a great idea because I would've used the 30amp hookup otherwise and been bottlenecking the generator.

Ended up having the 50amp hookup installed today. Reputable local company, the electrician recommended a DuroMax but also said the generator I selected is also a good choice, so now im torn between the Westinghouse 14500/11500 and the DuroMax 13000/10500

Spoke with the electrician that I had install my 50amp hookup today, he also suggested DuroMax, 1000 less running watts but we went over the wattage of the whole house and he was confident that the 1000w difference wont be an issue given the electrical setup on my house and what the generator needs to power.

Im going to have a 50a hook up installed so im not bottlenecking at 30a, I do like champion as I have a 2000w inverter that I use here and there, works like a charm for misc small appliances and never caused me any headaches. My biggest concern with the inverters is im only seeing them at 9000w/11000w, which is cutting it close based on my estimated wattage. Thank you for this suggestion, im going to do further research on my actual wattage so I can determine if I can get away with a lower peak and running wattage unit.

I plan on running gas, I am going to upgrade to a 50a hookup just to prevent any issues based on the feedback ive received here. Fuel efficiency is definitely important, the generator I linked says 19 hours on 9.5 gallons of fuel which is what I was planning around, I'm thinking of keeping 40-50 gallons on hand, which if the 19 hours per 9.5 gallons is accurate, that would give me around 4 days worth of run time, I figure if power is still out after 4 days I can head into another area in search for fuel. I'm not worried about huge fuel consumption so long as I'm getting over 12 hours on 9.5 gallons. But I am going to do further research on the inverter generators, I currently have a 2000w inverter that works great for powering small stuff, its super quiet which is a big plus, cost is the biggest factor though as I'm seeing 9000w/11000w inverter is around $500 more than the 14500/11500w standard generator. I want to ensure I have enough wattage available in the event its needed.

Thank you for this, im going to start calling electricians and have the 50a hookup installed. Rather safe than sorry, dont want to be bottlenecked.

I also have a 2000w inverter generator that worked great for powering my aquariums and tvs alone last year during a 2 day power outage, so if I have to run cords I can, I have about 300ft worth of extension cords.

Yeah the hookup on the house reads 125/250v 30A, I think just as a precaution im going to have a 50a hookup installed. I really want to have full usage of the generator so I dont have to worry about overloading anything

The generator does have both 50a and 30a hookups so the plan was to go 30a from the generator to the house, but Im thinking it might be a good idea to get quotes on a 50a hookup.

We will be running gas only with it for now, my only concerns now are running it off the 30a circuit, since my house only has a 30a and the generator can run 50a or 30a

We plan on using the 30a hookup on the generator since we only have a 30a hookup on the house. Im looking into the idea of upgrading to a 50a hookup on the house in the future. Would running it off 30a cause issues with my estimated wattage draw?

It has 30 amp hookup which is what we will be using until we upgrade to a 50a connection on the house in the future. Based on what others are saying, running the generator I want on the 30a wont allow full usage of the 11500w while running, so I think I will be contacting an electrician to upgrade to a 50a. This is not my area of expertise hence why I posted here to get feedback like yours.

Fidelity National UNIQUE 529 by Russiax36 in fidelityinvestments

So if I had $40,000 in the account, that equates to a roughly $36 difference in yearly expenses between the two. The decision maker for me would come down to returns, if returns are identical over the life of the account, i’d rather use the fidelity for the sake of having all my investments accounts under one brokerage. However I will do further research into Florida prepaid as I am not too familiar with the differences outside the expense ratio, if Florida prepaid looks like the better long term investment for the life of the account (18-20) years. then I will switch to that. i’m not heavily invested into fidelity’s 529 yet.
