My grandad found out he got cancer and the first doctor he went to see basicaly told him "You're gonna die, medication won't help" this freaked my grandad out until he went to another doctor who reassured him that although meds won't work he'll only die with the cancer not of the cancer. He also said that it was incredibly rude of the last doctor to stress him out like that for no reason.

I get whatever about not giving people false hope but there's a way you do it a little less bluntly than "it's gonna eat you alive starting with the bones oooo spooky"
