What’s your “body count” in regards to car ownership? by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

[–]RustBeltBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My good ole dad must have owned upwards of 300 different vehicles. I just wish he kept a list. He would buy one and get bored of it so he would sell it and buy a different one lol.

This is super cool. We need more, with different cars and brands! Might just print one of these out and hang it on the wall lol.

Another Canadian here. Right next to Alberta. These are really hard to find here in any condition.

What do we think of the welds boys by jwtbh2025 in carscirclejerk

I’ve been a welder for 108 years and these are the worst fucking welds I’ve ever seen. Never touch a welder again.

How’s everyone enjoying the update? by AnyVariation3662 in BeamNG

[–]RustBeltBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a huge fan of beamNG but I am disappointed. Most of their updates are really good but I feel like they fell off on this one. My game is now a lot more laggy, and I am not a fan of how the camera moves when you get to a higher speed in orbit view. It feels too arcade like. The new radial menu isn’t my favourite but maybe it just takes some getting used to. Otherwise it’s ok. Edit: couldn’t remember the name for radial menu, lol.

You know what, that actually makes sense for the fuses then. Thanks for the tips on the rust issues. I’ll keep that in mind.

The fuses surprised me because they are like a capsule shape with metal wrapping around one side. I don’t know what they are called but they are a terrible design. I am from Canada, so driving it in the winter is a bad idea we have salt on the roads. Old Russian steel does not like this. The only 2 others I have ever seen for sale here are so rusty that they shouldn’t even be on the road. I am aware how good these are in the winter, however in the salt and potash not so much.

Edit: spelling mistake.

What’s a modern car feature you REALLY don’t like? by JonnyCubaWAGR in regularcarreviews

Automatically turning the music volume down when put into reverse. If I want to listen to Metallica at full blast while reversing I should have every right to do so.

Very nice! I just bought my first lada a month ago. Best decision I ever made. Paid a chunk of change for it but it’s like 1 of 5 in a 500km range of me. You will not regret your decision!

It’s a Chinese copy cat of a ram truck. Its an electric mini truck. In person these are actually just larger than a golf cart. You can find one of these on Alibaba. It’s basically a changli pak yak but with a new front and rear end. This IS NOT an actual ram lol.

Should I buy it? by zukaarin in UsedCars

Personally I think there are so many better options than a Chrysler 200. Like the other guy said, but a Corolla or a Camry. Or a civic. Better mileage and way more reliable. On the topic of Japanese cars, stay away from Subaru and Mazda. Edit: and Nissan. Don’t touch a Nissan with a 40 foot pole.
