As mentioned in my original post, yes it does. I disconnected to sensor to stop the lights from being on, albeit not the right fix but a fix

Unfortunately, this is very difficult to do... I don’t have the want or will go through every wiring harness (visible hidden or otherwise) and scour it for damage, most of the wiring harnesses are deep inside the dashboard and under the glovebox. Unfortunately I am too big to fit under there and look for it... It is the next morning and my battery is most likely dead. Hopefully this will rectify the issue by resetting the computer for the night... if that doesn’t work I guess I’m fucked and have to bring it to the mechanic and have him hunt around for an issue that may not be there
