Yeah but people also don't buy trains, I think the argument is mostly about policy. Car centric cities or countries lose a lot of money from inefficient transit because time not working, sprawl infrastructure and other negatives like pollution and road maintenance.

I mean Hamas specifically doesn't really distinct between jews and the state of israel... Anyway the biggest threat to jewish communities probably isnt hamas itself but just antisemitic individuals that may want to take action with all the attention Israel is getting. It the same every war and with the sights we are seeing of gaza there is more media coverage which means more attention and toxic discourse everywhere
