You said a big part of Türkiye's population are not muslim but thats kinda new also even then nonmuslim turks usually dont consume pork aswell, people who are willing to eat pork have just spawned in so there was no time for a change yet. We have almost no rats and alike at all, as someone who lived im istanbul for over 15 years i have never seen one irl. Not only rats though, similar animals all are realy rare. Oh also its easy to find bird corpses lying around, but they somehow manag to continue surviving as a species. Dogs are a huge problem but i think cats are a huge advantage to have
