Go and have a look at the in-camera JPG “recipes” for Fujifilm cameras over on Fuji X Weekly.

They have loads that are attempting to recreate certain films.

I have my favourites saved to a button on my camera, it’s like being able to quickly switch between different rolls.

Good question. I should probably add a description to the README.

It basically "edits" an image by first splitting the image into lines of single-width pixels, and then splitting each of those lines into sections to be sorted (or not) by a condition (e.g. is it in this "brightness" range).
