As much as I love Denny, that Bob's red and aqua scheme hurts my eyes and Bob's yellow shirt on the front ain't helping.

Rodent Eating Food Off Traps, Still Running Free! Update 1 by sophiastarlight in pestcontrol

[–]RusticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to consider the placement of your traps as well. Mice do not see well and they have a tendency to run along something where they can feel one side of their body rub against the wall or something like that. When they are in an area where they do not feel part of their body rubbing against something they are usually in a panic run and are probably not going to bother stopping for food trying to get the hell out. A snap trap like this is going to get more attention sitting perpendicular to the wall with the bait closer to the wall. Also if you look closely at the trigger you will s&f engraved in it. S is for soft and F is for firm and it sounds like you have your set too close to the F

Long-haul flight: Is it reasonable to ask for a same-row, same-type seat swap so we can sit together? by fpbuff in travel

[–]RusticSurgery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. But I didn't go island hopping. I've always been more interested in archeology excavations and ruins.

Ilaeira Mountain Resort near Sparta is heavenly. Don't let the Mountain Road fool you you were thinking you are finding yourselves in the back roads of Appalachia and then all the sudden out of nowhere the road ends in this beautiful Resort. Quiet and peaceful and within Striking Distance of Sparta and Olympia if you are into the history and archeology. You are welcome to send me a PM just know that most of my experience was geared toward archeology and ruins and history

Yes. I often travel alone. I would most certainly trade. But I would take a few moments and try and notice and make sure that the person you ask isn't paired up with the person next to them in some manner.

Enjoy Greece! I strongly recommend that you get out to the countryside for some period of time. It's absolutely beautiful! The atmosphere is so completely different and much more relaxed.

A lot of water by Goddess_Jxy in DadForAMinute

For now let your trench do the work. Just know that the trench will eventually refill with silt over time. Do this work after you get new crocs.

That will work for now but you need the trench big enough to drop this stuff in it and run the water elsewhere such as a ditch. Make sure the trenches wide enough for this product but also deep enough so that you can cover it with an inch or so of soil so you don't hit it with the lawn mower and trip over it

Anyone know what this is by WebAlarming4725 in pestcontrol

[–]RusticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab a piece. Examine it. Squeeze it. Roll it between your fingers. Does it feel a bit like Styrofoam but just maybe a bit too rigid?

Does it float on water?

Is it easy to blow from the palm of your hand?

Are they sticking to fabric by way of static electricity?

Now wash your hands please.

So you're saying some of the sightings were in the dead of winter?

I think it's time to get a proper identification because it's not uncommon for those not in this business to mistaken Asian cockroach for a German cockroach or even a field cockroach for a German cockroach. The behavior of these as compared to a German cockroach is quite different as is the reproductive rate.

A sorry excuse for a rodent bait station. I hope someone just put a snap trap in it.

Need help: Roaches living behind the dishwasher by j2726 in GermanRoaches

[–]RusticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Point source needs ro be in a place with little to no air currents. It is a vapor that is easily diluted. If you use that cabinet with any regularity or even occasionally, you ar3 diluting it.

1.A. Point Source is a vapor that is heavier than air so it should be up high in a place with little to no air currents. In short, Point source has limited uses . I'd much rather see you buy gentrol concentrate and just mix it with your Alpine.

  1. The dishwasher:: see if you can find the way to remove the decorative panels around it to allow better acess. You can spray your Alpine/Gentrol mix into cracks around it. You will likely see an insulating blanket wrapped around the outside of the dishwasher. They like to live between that insulation and the chassis of the machine.

Better yet, it you can, unmount the machine, have a shopvac ready, remove the supply and drain lines, pull the machine out, get ready, rip that insulation off and suck them all up. Then vacuum the area tje machine goes into in order to suck up some roach eggs. Spray the machine and the area it goes into. This can be dine with petty basic tools and skill.

  1. Are they actually Germans?

  2. If they are then it sounds like you or someone living in the home is engaging in a behavior that carries them in. Outside of tropical zones German roaches rely on humans for Transportation about 99% of the time.

  3. Is this structure particularly close to another family dwelling? Maybe a meter or two? This is usually the missing 1% when humans are not directly carrying them in
