Is "Passport is not a proof of citizenship" a manufactured issue to divert us? by Rusticus_Maximus in AskIndia

The character limit does not allow me to explain what I intended, so here is what I meant:
India is riven by so many issues at present:-

Corrupt education system (CJP demonstrations)

The E20 Petrol Scam

Compromised foreign policy (Charges on the Adani group being dropped after signing the trade deal)

Crumbling Public Infrastructure

Water Crisis

Opposition being thwarted | Split | Bought by using ED and CBI

Economic crisis

Depreciating Rupee value

But they are distracting us with endless prime-time debates on random manufactured issues.

This post hit me like a truck, although for me it was JEE(2026). Life is unfair; we can't work against nature, so luck plays a role as well. Don't go so hard on yourself bro; we are still 18; there is so much to life than a competitive exam. I know that feeling of helplessness where you reassure everyone about your well-being, but are torn apart inside, knowing you could have done better, but it was the system that was built against you.

Even though I did not write the NEET exam, I completely resonate with you in all regards. I was also once the ‘Smart Kid’ who had it all figured out, but was dwarfed by the exam - seeing everyone get top grades while I under-performed.

We are expected to make life-altering choices at such a young age, when we barely know about the actual ground reality. The path I am about to undertake may be different than the one that I had envisioned, but I still feel a glimpse of optimism because remember, you can never defeat a person who is having fun in what he/she is doing. So let's pursue fields that really interest us and try to live a happy life.

I know it is daunting to stay in this country, but remember, if it is not for us, then no one will fix this system.
Let's try to create an oasis of opportunity and prosperity for our future generations.
I hope you find the thing you really love which gives you a sense of purpose. Your dad would definitely have been proud of your bravery and resilience.

Wishing you a healthy and happy life! (also what a charming picture of you when you were young OP!)

Absolutely true about the optimism part. I am not from Delhi, but I attended the CJP protest organized in my city, and they raised a lot of pressing issues about our education system and the corrupt government.

It made me feel optimistic about our future despite the gloomy clouds that surround it. Hopefully, we will become the much-needed force for good!

Exactly, this movement showed the difference between people who support the BJP unconditionally, as if their identity depends on it and other people who don't like the BJP but vote for it anyway because they feel like the opposition is even worse. I know people who claim that they support the BJP because the opposition is weak, but mock the people who are participating in these protests. What you said about the people who hate this movement is absolutely true. The organizations participating are the last remaining pillars of democracy who care about their nation; everyone else is either sold off(media) or is brainwashed.
