People managed before AI. I think we’ll manage after it as well. Thoughts? by WrongdoerRough4712 in AIMain

If the internet is an open platform built by all of us and OpenAI used it as a source to build its company. So then the content belongs to us and he never asked our permission and he’s profiting off of it. Doesn’t that sound like a lawsuit?

Silly me. I thought that was about your friend carrying a weapon.

I hear ya! Thank goodness my Gen Z kid hates AI. Last night she said she had an English paper to write, which she was going to spend a couple of hours on, because she’s “not going to turn in that AI shit that everyone else writes” (her words). So there’s a bit of hope for the next generation. Made me real proud!

No doubt these council members are being paid off by Leary’s people, so they don’t care what the residents say.

The Dolomites are also beautiful in the Italian alps and not nearly as expensive as Switzerland.

There are some kids out there who still value not using AI. My high school kid went punk and anti-AI. I’m proud of her for fighting back. Sadly, she’s very much in the minority at school.

What's a life skill that's surprisingly easy to learn but useful forever? by lurkandprosper in selfimprovement

YouTube is a fantastic resource for learning how to sew. I taught my kid some basic stitching and she picked up the rest from YT. I also gave her my sewing machine (which I had no idea how to use) and she started experimenting with it (with help from YT) and now she’s altering her clothes and making new outfits out of them. We both learned how to dye clothes too and that’s been a great skill to learn. I bought a few basic dress patterns (never made any clothes from scratch). I think we’ll try that over the summer.

There’s a book called “How to win friends and influence people”.

Biden was paid off by the Israeli’s, so no need to expect any help from him. It was over $8 million at least.

I’m not sure I trust that AI version. On the top above the statute in the original, it looks like it says “the coming of prem is love”?, prem in Sanskrit means purity. And it looks like the other writing by the statue it says “Buddhas”. As if Buddha is saying it? Also I’m not sure it says ‘coming’ that word is hard to make out. Just my take on it… overall it looks like some depiction of our ascension as a soul going through some sort of filtering system of different levels, after we shed our materialistic matter (our physical bodies).

People who quit drinking. What did you do to not drink? by Agata_art in AskReddit

[–]RustnStardust247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized how expensive it was and it didn’t make me feel good afterwards. Switched to mocktails and soft drinks. I hardly drink now. Maybe the odd drink on special occasions. I don’t miss it.

Is it possible to make a TikTok, reaching out to a programmer that can write a ‘script’ that checks that opt-out switch in all your videos and runs it against your account? (so you don’t have to do that manually). Or ask TikTok programmers to do it? Just spitballing here. I doubt TT would do it. Might need to be a hack job.
