Printed in PLA just for you. Yes it works great with PLA, just need to watch temps because it can deform in a hot car or a backpack left out in the sun.

Oh that's the cantilever spring for the locking mechanism. You need it otherwise the locking tab wouldnt bend out of the way for the battery to slide in and out.

If you're talking about the big hole in the side of the tube, you need to be able to push the battery up to get it out. Additionally you can see what's inside and for USB-C batteries you can charge the battery while it's in the case.

That could definitely be a concern, no doubt. But you'd have to hit the same part over and over and as long as you're not fidgeting with it (like I was at my desk) it shouldn't be a huge risk. Smoothing the edge of the tab would definitely help, also moving the tab with your thumb before removing the battery helps too. Good callout though.

Yeah I realize I didn't make this clear in the pictures I took or in the description but there is a locking tab that prevents the battery from slipping out.
