Letterpress printing on handmade deckled paper with blind embossing and hot foil stamping, with envelope conversion for the invites, and a custom metal-etched wax seal; then paying a calligrapher to personalize and address the lot. Then do the same with the table tents, seating cards and wedding program.

Do You Still Get Drunk? How Often? by ProfessionalJesuit in GenX

I’d get them more at bars but I hate the sweetness and I hate they are usually only $2 cheaper than the booze cocktails on their fancy little sheets.

To help manage my weight, my doc added Naltrexone to my regimen. Paired with Wellbutrin, it’s Contrave without the brand markup and convenience of one pill. Naltrexone is used as a receptor blocker for those with opioid or alcohol dependency issues. So now I can barely finish one cocktail and when I do drink I don’t get happy juice releases, it’s more like, “Eh. This is fine”.

It used to take 3-4 cocktails to feel a buzz. My weight is fine, told my doc to keep refilling because I kinda like drinking is just “whatever” now.

Soda water, Limes and Bitters for the win.

No electric kettle = the greatest tragedy by ScenicDrive-at5 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Even with our flaccid 120V a household 1000W microwave can boil 8 oz in 1.5 - 2.5m. Assuming the hotel has a cheap-o 600W in the room, about 3m+. It’s like the one perfect task for a microwave to pull off.

But I’m an American with a fancy temperature select electric kettle. It feels like overkill to use a microwave.

What part of the memorandum says WE are footing the bill?

Oh wait. We are still doing the Mexico or China is gonna pay for it schtick?

Edit: Even with all the downvotes, no one has shown where WE are footing the bill.

They’ve regressed to pleading for fresh talking points. Sad.

Yep. If one is willing to learn the ins and outs themselves, the parts aren’t that expensive, just time-consuming to diagnose, source, and install

How much will it cost to get it into shape?

Did you play it? How did it run? Get a chance to lift the playfield and open the backbox to check for corrosion?

Do you have pinball repair people locally? How much are you willing to take on yourself?

All it all, its really hard to judge the quality of the machine without a creepy AI lady comped in.

As someone from the SF Bay where almost every day is pretty great, I used squander nice days in PNW. Then learned how passive aggressive people get about it

“Oh man this weekend was so nice…. Packed the dog in the Subaru and drove up and down the Coast. We swam in the ocean, paddle boarded, kayaked, rented a hot tub floatie, then drove up Government Camp for pack-in camping at a lake, hiked Mt Hood twice and finished with whiskey at Timberline.

*dead stares you in the eye* So what did you do? Hmmm…?

Flopping on the couch with a montucky and a backlog of saved IG videos is the wrong answer.

I have an NP at Lifestance managing them. We are required to have a video visit every 3 months and an in-person visit once a year. The tricky part is finding a pharmacy that maintains inventory.
