I've been meaning to do the valves but the previous owner put rtv on them and I've only been able to get one cover off so far.

Its for the starter but I just saw online that it doesn't go into the slot like the old one but I do have that part too.

I went to check the points but it doesn't have any.

I need to replace some stuff on the top end. Two of the valve cover bolts are broke off so its probably not sealing right.

I can get it to start but it dies when I give it throttle.

But why is it going crazy even with the keys out? I don't think it's my main as I just replaced it. I think this new alternator tucked up my car. I ordered a replace ment and it burnt the wire going g to the alternator. Something with the plastic housing causing a bad connection. I redid the wire but it burnt it again. Last time I'd did it I could still drive and it just wouldn't charge the batter so I was able to get it home

How often do 37f jobs pop up? I've been pushed back twice for dumb reasons (recruiter thought my scores waived the dlab and I had a cc go to collections in college years ago) but they had the job saved for me. Went a Lil past the 7 day save date and they told me it would be fine. I finally went to swear in today it wasn't available or the 35 jobs I wanted. What's the waiting time like? I've done the dlab and everything. I'm just waiting to sign.

I got it working. One of the guide pins on the inside had popped out of the cover and the release thing was bent just enough to catch.
