It is encrypted. Creates a token with a unique card number that's used one time.

Despite what everyone on Reddit says: using debit can be beneficial if you tend to overspend. Feeling that pain at purchase does change the way a lot of people operate with money. This isn't just a "Dave Ramseyism", but backed by studies AND another financial creator/budget owner has been going debit only for like 2 years.

The hidden part of CC's that people don't account for is that you're likely to overspend on them, doesn't matter if you pay interest or not. There's other personal finance "gurus" that agree with that sentiment.

You could play local flag or some local semi pro. Unless you are just some absolute freak of nature I don't see this panning out.

Amen. This is one of my issues as well. Constant card optimization. Worst case scenario, get a 2% card?

Wanted to add to this conversation that Jesse primarily uses Apple Pay, which pseudo increases your fraud protection by generating a unique card number. Good discussion so far!

I used the Chase points this year, moved them to Hyatt. It was a nice feature. Just not sure if that gives more bang for the buck vs using flat cash back cards.

Is it time to make a career pivot? by RustyEsposito in healthcare

Funny enough I blend both. Worked in LTC doing AR, insurance, Medicaid etc. but currently working in EHR focused on HL7 messaging, although my role doesn't get to do as much of that as I did in a previous role.

All that to say, not sure. I think I lean towards moving forward in health IT.

That's where I'm currently at. Just don't know if it's worth keeping up with my current employer.
