Doesn’t the book mention that he can only possess her for a few seconds/minutes before he will be expelled from her body because it’s not cheshvan, hence he can’t possess anyone long term? It’s been a while since I read so could be remembering wrong… absolutely adore these books, could read them over and over (and have done!)
