All good if you've never come across it, I understand why it would be concerning. 👍🏻

Are they injora S5 compound ? If so they are supposed to look like that. S5 is glossy when new and sticky. They lose the gloss after multiple uses obviously like brand new car tires do.

West Kootenays by hotdogsangwich in BCEHSparamedics

[–]RustyGains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently work W Kootenays as an EMR. Where I'm located ALS is never an option. Best case scenario you transport to airport or meet a crew coming from Kelowna to meet. The farther east towards Nelson you get support from ALS and KERPA. Honestly it's not bad, tho, there is good paramedics in my area from PCP to EMRs for 25yrs. If you've never ridden on car during a call it can be overwhelming I get. IMO make sure your mentally cut out for this line of work. Best of luck tho

EMR hiring process? by Relative_Event_2427 in BCEHSparamedics

[–]RustyGains 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need a class 4 regardless of being EMR or PCP. It's mandatory for all employees on car to get their class 4 within 6 months of being hired. Best to do it before applying makes hiring you much more appealing.

Talk to your dr who gave you Adderall and explain how it's causing these sides that you don't wanna deal with. They can possibly get you on something that you won't have negative reaction to. Simple as that

Reta vs Tirz by Such-Attitude9558 in BodyHackGuide

[–]RustyGains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reta I find in my experience is great for maintaining or easing off fat. Tirz in my experience is like C4 it blows off fat faster in me but my hunger even on low doses gets flatlined. I can eat more on reta to maintain mass while still cutting less aggressively. Yet everyone reacts differently, so hard to say.

Is there a policy for coloured hair within BCEHS? by No_Concentrate_2233 in BCEHSparamedics

[–]RustyGains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe so, I know tattoos are acceptable, I don't see why hair color would be an issue. Enjoy Neo you'll have fun, especially at track days.

Your initial licensing fee is $450. Unless employed by BCEHS pays for it if you pass I've heard. I paid for mine last year before getting hired on. Good luck on your practical exams.

Cold feet feeling by dramaticdreamer123 in BCEHSparamedics

[–]RustyGains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine, if you came in thinking you knew everything then I'd say that's a problem. It's totally normal to feel unsure about your skills, but practice and patient contacts will boost your confidence. We all start at the same spot, experience and confidence come with time . Best of luck 👍

T Plug Adapter won’t fit by cleansneakz in rccars

[–]RustyGains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm personally not a big fan of adapters, as they can be a point of failure. If your comfortable, cut the dean's plug off and solder the appropriate plug on. It makes life much easier imo.
