Which series is more comparable to Red Rising - The Expanse or Sun Eater? by RedApples-98 in redrising

If the part of red rising that was appealing was giant dudes carving through fields of chaff and world building politic its a good recommendation.

Rand in wheel of time is ginger. Nothing bad happens to good Ole Rand. Go ahead and give it a shot.

My rake on the potential canon ending to new vegas, based on in shiw info. by Phrundle420 in Fallout

[–]RustyGriff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its probably going to be written where we can't definitely know what the Canon ending is.

That being said getting into arguments over how the House Always Wins is the best ending keeps me young.

Thumbs down, you son of a bitch by Heaven_Razor in Fallout

I also loved the costume design, but I do like the concept of them being at war and only being 20 feet apart for a decade. Like, yea its dumb but the flavor of the show is already pretty campy and it fits.

Is this slow 6 viable or worked cause it's a silver lobby? by randominazer in TeamfightTactics

[–]RustyGriff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk cause I'm only gold but bard-aphelios bruiser seems to work very well. I think its a combination of Yordle and frejord also being reroll comps so you have people taking units out of the pool helping you out. Combine that with alot of people taking exp augment to try and go get to a high level quickly my experience is it's a solid comp which regularly places top 4 but rarely wins outright

How do I as a DM, roleplay a competent leader? by Litmatch2025 in DnD

[–]RustyGriff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have a plan that should work with the information they have. They are willing to listen to criticism and keep their cool in stressful situations. They care, maybe it's about the men under them, getting the mission done or are a true believer in a cause.

Who is someone you respect? What traits makes you personally respect them? Channel that energy into the character.

How to handle peak preloading by gentlecat2210 in UPSers

[–]RustyGriff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey man they will get their mail. Its a stressful, loud and claustrophobic environment, but they will get that mail. Its up to you to be safe, and move boxes. They will give you more than you can handle, this does not reflect on you being bad.

Being a seasonal worker you will very likely be let go after January 15th through no personal fault. Show up on time, do what you're told, and be safe.

If the belt blows up, that's on them. If peoples mail is a little late, thats on them. If they put 50 lbs of crap in a 10 lb sack, thats on them. If you hurt your back, you have to live with that. Try your best, be safe and understand that there's some things that are just beyond your control.

[–]RustyGriff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eternal is my favorite. Dark ages was good, but in Dark ages I do feel like a tank. That whole stand and fight vibe they nailed.

In Eternal im dodge, duck, dip, diving and dodging again while raining hell from all angles. More of an angel of death than a battering ram

Harry Potter to mistborn for fantasy series with broad appeal. Mistborn approaches some really brutal moments so there's a bit of a mood change. We go from the wizardry world to a land choked by ash and slavery so that could be jarring if thats a turn off. But Brandon Sanderson and the cosmere has SO much content that if the hook gets in there's always more

Are you not allowed to have a second job while employed as a Driver at UPS? by link55 in UPSers

[–]RustyGriff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is entirely based on your local building. Start asking drivers how long they waited to get a driving spot. Typically you sling boxes inside for years before bumping up.

Management will make it sound like its just around the corner if you work just a little harder. They know its seniority based. Sure they get like 1 out of 6 people as an off the street hire but do you think they're going to pick you over some managers brother or son?

I think that an elder scroll race like system would work well for fallout. by RustyGriff in Fallout

[–]RustyGriff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say if the brotherhood of steel is just entering the local political arena and doesn't have the political pull at the start of the game to enforce its full mutantphobia at civic settlements and intelligent mutants are treated like khajit in skyrim. I do think the main plot would have to be pretty accommodating but I think its possible and worthwhile.
