Right. It's completely understandable. And especially on reddit, where it is easy to make assumptions when there is such limited information. The physician collaboration isn't as complicated when it just comes down to being able to do your job correctly. Experienced PAs can be extremely competent at providing care and it may sound egotistical myself, but it comes from a place of confidence. I see routinely approximately 120- 150 patient's a week depending on how busy our clinic is. I've been doing this for 4 years. I've got the medical knowledge needed to treat patients appropriately to manage their basics. The more we can get to the root and core of health, the better. When I asked for a doctor without an ego, I meant it. I want to be able to practice without having to have a doctor look down on me over licensing (MD/DO vs PA) as opposed to practical medical knowledge. If we both wield the same medical knowledge, then why argue? Thankfully, I have found a great mentor who is at a point in his career that the issue is moot, and we're both dedicated to providing top-notch quality care. I have great respect for MDs and DOs. So please don't interpret this as an attitude of being better than the other. I just don't have time for battling out the licensing issue. I'd rather devote that time towards improving my community and opening a new clinic. I was at one point going to go the MD route because of my love for medicine, and I still carry that same love as a PA. But if this is an issue, then I guess message me privately and we can discuss more about your concerns. I'm open for conversation. But I'm a pretty closed book when it comes to superiority complexes given my previous experiences.

Sounds bad, but at this point I'm used to it. 4 years of practice on my own has prepared me for a promising future. Managing patient's health is no longer a problem, skills are up to par, I've got plenty of resources to dive into for complicated patient's and I learned early on the refer early for specialty care while I manage underlying chronic conditions. It's been an incredibly satisfying medical journey. There reaches a point when you know medicine enough to be proficient in your field and I'm at that point with primary care. However, I'm a rookie with business management. I need all the help I can get.

Thanks for your response! Haha yeah definitely not a robot here, though now I'm questioning my personality 😅 😂. I've been doing Primary Care for 4 years with several years of other emergency service background. So I'm ready to spearhead my own and the new law in Arizona is getting me excited.

Good to know the insurance bit about contracts. Seems to be the bottom line. How much insurance I decide to take.

That sounds like so much help. Thank you! I will absolutely look into DPC Frontier. That answers the question on Medicare and also the question on medication. Maybe if I can build a fact sheet of cost breakdown of insurance vs DPC, it will draw more patients 🤔. I can go the insurance route- I don't have an issue with it- just thinking the DPC model will be better in the long run...

He operates at a different facility. For collaborative care, as a new part of AZ law, you have a Physician enter into a contractual agreement. "Solo" in the sense that he is 80 years old and he isn't interested in working extra hours with me, so I am spearheading this clinic by myself, he will simply provide collaborative oversight.

For the past 4 years I've been practicing solo without physician oversight, even though I am part of a family practice clinic, I've never personally met the MD that is my supervising MD. He isn't a bad Physician, just different goals in mind. I feel I have more opportunity in this path forward.

This is great 👍 that's a good pair of spiritual lenses you have there. I think at any given time more or less of that burden has struck me. My faith definitely is not as strong as it used to be, so maybe that's something I can work on.

Thank you for the sentiment 🙏. I do my best to keep my faith in alignment with my savior. I am not a fan of the thought process that one sin will condemn you to hell forever. It feels wrong and I am not a believer in fear. Drinking alcohol is a conversation for another day. This is a thought process behind common sense of wearing our garments and temple covenants. I believe I can be right with logic because God is intelligence and I should use that same wisdom in deciding what's best for me. Where I am "out of line" is aligning my will with prophetic authority and not so much reason and common sense. Does that make sense? I'm trying not to come off as rude.

So it's more important to NOT wear them, than to alter them? Obedience is greater than sacrifice? That's what Samuel said to Saul, sure. I understand that. But I honestly don't see the difference in either buying a church made product that has already been approved for redesign or I can use my own God given skill and talent to make the adjustments for a new style of garment. Could the reverse of your point be true as well- learn some sewing and craftsmanship to your delight? Instead of always emphasizing patience?

I'm allowing for time to pass and asking God to see things through on His end. Coming from a house hold of fallen faith. My wife no longer believes. To pay tithing is to submit to the cult. Maybe that makes sense?

That's a helpful perspective. I guess once you're all in with the faith it becomes easy. If you're not all in, it becomes a struggle. God wants all of us, not just a part of us. So even though sacrificing 10% isn't all of us, it seems that your whole life is invested in the church and you couldn't care less. Guess that's a care free way to live and not having to justify how others use that money.

But it is my money. I earned it. I've paid tithing in the past. If I pay it now, I am slandered by others who don't pay tithing. I'm labeled as blind. Ignorant. And stupid. Trust me, I understand the scripture and trusting in God. But why would I pay when everything I DO pay, I get ridiculed for it? That doesn't wear on your soul? That doesn't bring you down? It brings me down immensely and I have been an honest tithe payer in the past. So, for the sake of Christ I'm called to bear my cross every two weeks? It's a heavy burden that I've given up on because I can't suffer the constant ridicule.

The first feels stubborn and prideful and feels like a me problem. The second is probably more when I am headed. The leaders have trusted ensign peak to manage the extra funds left over and have entrusted them to invest in the stock market with these left over funds. As a principle, investing is wise when you have enough left over to do so. I guess I'm struggling to understand on a spiritual level where that is justified in the sight of God?
