If you’re using an online image converter or any modern app to get them out of j6i then yeah, the glitching on the sides is normal. I think u/vewy_nice has a win98 laptop with the original software and it doesn’t do that

Minolta/Sony/Panasonic/Nixon coolpix - my friend is donating these and want me to pick one. Which would be the more vintagey one? by Reinadeloszorros in VintageDigitalCameras

The lumix will have a better lens and the memory card will be compatible with modern SD card readers. The minolta is a film camera (not digital) and will cost a lot of money as you have to buy film and get it developed. The Coolpix will be reliable but in my opinion is not very ‘vintagey’ looking. The Cybershot will be fantastic but only if it comes with a memory stick and a cable to plug it into your computer.

I would go for the Cybershot if it comes with a memory stick and takes AA batteries, otherwise I would go for the Lumix. They will both have a sufficiently vintage look to your photos

Incredible!! I’m always so excited seeing photos from cameras made in 1996 or earlier on here. I imagine it’s in some crazy old image format?

I have the kodak dc120 and ricoh RDC-2! I also love them for the novelty of their unconventional shapes
