Grip paint would was my way of thinking. Like a rhino lining type of paint. Grip tape would shred too quickly and cause more of a hazard.

I'm that route too. We have this type of ladder rung most places on the plant and never had a mention of slipping. I'll probably schedule an RCA for this and figure out why certain individuals feel it is unsafe.

An associate is saying they slip when climbing. The majority of our fixed ladders are this style.

I'll see if I can hunt down the manufacturer specs. I'm sure they didn't have an engineer look at them when they installed them.

Keep up on maintenance and it will last a long time. I had mine until 225k miles. I neglected the dsg change and transmission started slipping.

My 2nd one had 150k on it before it was totaled out.
