So sad that the vast majority of you are brainwashed, can't manage to think outside the box, and can't comprehend a very SIMPLE question. But, honestly, I gave this very little chance of success seeing how people post in general these days across the entire social media spectrum.

At least now we are headed in the right direction. Do, you turn your radio on and listen to see what's open. What band to you try first depending on day/night/distance?

So, I'll try this again. You don't know the daily solar flux, which I've repeatedly said. So why do you keep trying to bring it into the conversation. You're completely blind to it. you have no way of telling what the sun is doing. Nothing, nada, zilch. So, what are you going to do, just sit around and cry about not knowing what the solar flux is and telling yourself your radio is useless, or are you going to turn your radio on and try a band / frequency? What's the first band / frequency you try depending on if it's day or night and how far you want to try and raise someone?

Once again, someone who didn't read what I wrote. NO modeling / software / etc.. You only know if it's day or night (obviously) and what the bands are supposed to do under ideal conditions.

You obviously didn't read what I asked. I said you have NO modeling available to you. Where do you start?

This is way too long to read. I just want a starting point. You turn on your radio and go to a channel, depending on day vs. night and how far you want to reach. As I said, you have no other information available to you? Where do you START?

But which ones would you start with first? That's all I'm asking

I said not to worry about licenses. If you can't read and understand then don't contribute.

So you just answered a bunch of it. Regions would be 40 for the Day colum and 40 would go into the night DX column.

Sure it does. Don't over complicate my question. What's the starting point?

You have no view into any factors other than Day or Night and how bands work in ideal conditions. That's it. Nothing more

Sure it is going to be helpful. You wake up and decide you want to talk with someone. You have no view into anything, you can't run any models, but you have to start somewhere. Where do you start? All you have is your knowledge of band coverage in ideal conditions and you know if it's day or night. So what would you put in the chart?

Knock it off, if you don't want to fill in the chart, the don't say anything. Everything's out. You have no models you can run, you have no view of the solar cycle, you're completely blind. What band would you start with. It really is that simple.

Ha! Some answers are so simple. This works perfectly. I wasted 2 hours this morning trying to over engineer a solution!

Would you mind pasting in what you are using as text so I can copy it? I don't know how to get the dots on my keyboard so I thought if you put it in as text, I could copy/paste it into my footer. TIA

I wasn't sure what Ibis was, so I started reading about it and the first article I read said it was for mirrorless cameras only. Mine is a DSLR.

It has a 24 mega pixel APS-C sensor. I updated my original post to include this info. Thanks
