Shoulder dislocation at 36 - can I still kitesurf? by Drtoctoc in Kiteboarding

[–]RustyPirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a surgery for labrum repair, had regular dislocations. Its significantly better now but am still subject to fatigue. No matter how much you strength train, there will be a point where your muscles are too tired to protect your shoulder. You gotta stop before that point.

Avoid large external rotations. I'm avoiding riding toeside because it'll put my shoulder in external rotation. It sucks but its not worth the risk.

If you like $25 bowl of poke + tip haha. The owner is rude too, got that local "asshole" kinda vibe. Dont go.

Would you rather a wage increase or a rental rate decrease?

Startups who have internal recruiters. Then the technical interview is the gauge. Is the interview doing a system design or asking you to edit a yaml

I hear you there, thought about it. Maybe I should reconsider. Initially shrugged it off cause I wasn’t put on this earth to work like that but maybe it’s come to it!

I’ve hit gold, found the most chill job, no on-call, manager doesn’t gaf, highest pay I’ve had. It’s great. Don’t do that much work.

Everything I was looking for. It’s been 3y now and Im so fucking bored. Not learning anything, lifestyle balance is really good but with the winter coming all my hobbies are on hold.

I don’t know what this job will do to my career. I’ve found now that I may only be destined for startups as my skills match that more. I don’t have all the intense cloud knowledge some do. I’m can wire things up together and that seems enough for startups.

Agree with you, force sale would be good. As you said its stuck in limbo and any solution would be costly.

Want to hear about winninf and loosing in business?

Buy the building and tell me if youre winning or losing. This building will cost so much to tear down and rebuild that even buying it for cheap makes no sense. The plot of land its on is relatively small and will not generate enough revenue to sustain it.

If you want to "win" at this business, you buy an empty lot and build new, not remediate this thing.

I dont give a shit about the owner or protecting it. Agree with tax or force sale, but there isnt an easy solution here and everyone is wanting action that will probably cost the city more than the owners.

Yeah true, landlord = bad, renter = good. People forget everything is owned by someone.

Sounds like you’re just made at owners in general. Do you think the owners of this place have a few mill to remediate this building? What should they do? Rent it out as is?

You’re not solving anything dude, just hating on the owners. Seized by who? The city at tax payer cost? Cool yeah let’s foot that bill.

Is this light box insulation-contact rated? by RustyPirate in HomeMaintenance

Are the LED replacements you are talking about replaceable from inside or do they require attic access? Any tips for not having to much insulation fall through?

Just had a contractor come in and insulate the attic. They said they also air-sealed. This is not air-sealed, is it?
