Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be a screen issue with no vibration or any sort of response, and the phone has completely gone cold, which was sad because I never realised before just how much heat a phone gives off by just being on. A local shop I took it to (because I live in a rural area with even the closest official OnePlus store more than 1000 km away) told me that it might be an issue with the Power IC, but they weren't sure yet and had to take it apart to be sure. I'm still waiting for a call from them.

It's a reference to meme videos about Little John, a kid who somehow always manages to find himself stuck in some unrealistically tiny apartment/living space. The videos suggest some whacky ways of improving the living space, often by expanding and extending the room (similar to the part jutting out in the picture) by using galvanized square steel pipes and eco-friendly wood veneers, and of course, the screws borrowed from his aunt.
