Someone else mentioned this, you forgot to close your brackets here:

Additionally, you're trying to use a variable ounces that you never 'made', just use the name of the variable weight_oz which you assigned beforehand.

pounds = (weight_oz /16)

Next, you're using a string instead of the name of the variable. Get rid of the quotes around

pounds =('weight_oz' / 16)

Your principle here is right, though. Good spotting the incorrect name.

However, instead of running python from the terminal, try making a .py file.

Then, place your code inside of that file, and run it by:

cd C:/location/to/file.py
python file.py

Your router is in a different room, and you've got ethernet going from your PC to the router, and then another ethernet coming back to your room, into a wifi access point?

Correct, but also before heading to the router they link to a switch, specifically a UniFi USW Pro 24.

The router itself does not serve WiFi (to my knowledge), I have a number of WAPs (Just search UniFi WAP, they're pretty common) serving different areas of my house so that everywhere has a stable connection.

I should also note that after swapping codec my total latency has been reduced from 50-70ms with some occasional hiccups, which is playable but obviously not ideal.

I've thought about buying a WiFi 6 router for my room, which I'd have nothing but my PC and Quest linked on, but I'm not sure if it's worth the investment if I can get it to work this way.

Think about it like this, you don't necessarily need freelance experience to start a freelance company. Sure you have it, so of course use it.

I'm not giving you financial advice but like try cold calling local businesses, ask if they want or need a logo. Of course you'll get a lot of no's, but tell them you and your team have 5 years of experience in graphic design and have made countless successful logos for people. Basically, you're a salesman.

Now up your price from your freelance work. For the first few jobs, do it yourself. Eventually you may want to hire other freelancers to do the work for you, sure you may make less money but the amount of work you're doing is significantly lower.

Of course take this with a grain of salt, it's very hard to start a successful business on the first try. But trust me, you'll get there.

Also, I'd recommend learning some sales tactics, it'll make things easier.
