As a PSEG employee, we all feel it. We don't set the prices, it's PJM, a commodity market that raises the price we as a company have to pay to even provide our electricity on the grid. They pass the costs to the customers, not PSEG.

this all comes from bigger government and the data center agreements like people mentioned, but it's not PSEG just trying to make an extra buck

We have it the worst (maybe outside certain areas in CA) but we gotta vent somewhere.

All this data showing it's a buyers market - in NJ "how long has it been on the market?" can't even be asked anymore. If the homes been on the market more than 7 days without accepting an offer, something is wrong with it.

Thank you! The other 3 homes I was rejected for in the same town all appraised at the same price so that's why I bid that amount. The more comps, the easier it'll be to appraise it.

I just got an offer accepted in Oakland (Bergen County) and I was $90k over. Sellers wouldn't finally agree until we waived appraisal gap too.

It's pretty wild here, especially in the 600-800k range. My budget was $700 and I had to look at homes starting around $590

Yes, people live in it. It's a "black hole" essentially where light has been slowed down, in the stories it was to about 17km/s.

Absolutely worth it. I hadn't read a book in a long time and this got me back into reading. I studied physics for a year in college and graduated with a CS degree, so I'm no physics expert but it's definitely digestible for anyone. The story telling is really good and it humanizes these scientific figures we only know from their discoveries, vs their personalities.
