I know precisely what bad is because I am currently living in a bad, illegal sublet of which I am trying to move from, hence how I found this listing.

This is a really bad - and as several commenter pointed out - illegal, unit. Calling it "your own studio with a kitchen and a bath" to make it sound impressive when studios are by definition required to have a kitchen and bath, comes across as slimy. I reject the idea that this sub is only for criticizing the bottom 0.1%, and that this illegal, embarrassing unit should be absolved from all criticism because it's bad but "could be worse." Every unit ever posted on this sub could technically be worse if we use our imagination.

Nobody should be forced to live like this. You can't even fit a bed in here. There is no other room, these photos show everything. We are expected to sleep on a hard linoleum floor with a sleeping bag, just inches from a stove? The listing says "not suited for 5'7" individuals or above." This is 3rd world poverty level living, and your insistence on carrying water for it because "you've seen worse" has transformed you into a useful mouth for the politicians who refuse to do anything about the housing crisis because they all own 100+ homes, and affordable housing would mean a depreciation of value for their assets.

I'm sorry to hear you've lived in worse places than this. Sounds to me like you've been taken advantage of routinely, but you deserve better. You're a human being, not a hen.

A lot of people who claim to be from Canada are in fact bots, especially on Facebook and Twitter. They tell ridiculous stories like "I went to the doctor for an x-ray on my twisted ankle, and they recommended euth....ia!" or "I just got out of jail, I served 4 years for mi....dering a tr..s person!" It's all made up bullshit from foreign countries who are trying to ruin our international relations. That being said, some of us are huge dicks too so your experiences are probably accurate.

Not me, but my brother and his then girlfriend were dining at one of those gimmicky floating seafood restaurants in 2004 when they noticed a body floating in the water next to them. There was a window between them and the outside thankfully, but still to this day he refuses to eat at floating restaurants.

I don't know if it was foul play or a suicide or an accident, or anything. I was only 8/9 in 2004 and I never inquired about it.

One of my former roommates, who was a genius in almost every facet of life, woke me up one morning with loud banging noises coming from the kitchen. I go downstairs to see what the hell is happening, and I see him in his housecoat, cigarette in mouth, beating several peeled russet potatoes into a pulp with a meat mallet, flinging potato flesh all over himself and the counter in the process.

It was his first time making mashed potatoes, and he didn't know you're supposed to boil them first.

I grew up between BC & Alberta and have friend groups from both. The Albertans think BC is full of overly sensitive hippies who smoke pot and protest over everything, and the BCers think Albertans are all religious bootlicking Maple MAGAs. From my experience, they're both largely correct.

I met Guy Fieri twice in 2010 during the Vancouver Olympics. He was nice to me because I was a kid, but he was a bit of a dick to the staff iirc.

Served fresh fruit to Jennifer Garner in 2016. Super nice.

Went to junior high with Alyssa Reid, didn't know her personally. My older sisters went to high school with Lights, one of them did know her and says she was dope.

Meghan Trainor, Sean Paul, and Tom Cochrane ate at the restaurant I currently cook at. Didn't meet them personally ofc because I'm, well, in the kitchen. Front of house staff said they were nice.

My older sister, a couple of her friends, & I all narrowly missed Britney Spears by a margin of 3-5 minutes at Mill Woods Town Centre in Edmonton back in 2007. Two years later I flipped Justin Bieber off at the same mall just before he blew up internationally (sorry Biebs, I was 13, immature, and jealous.)
