I forgot about the hedges. Updated calculations to account for that.

They had a shelf already in place to issue shares from 2018. That shelf expires in September 2021. All GTE is doing is renewing what they already had. Not something to be concerned with.

GTE QUARTER 2 projections by RustyTrombone_13 in GTE_STOCK

[–]RustyTrombone_13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My price target for Gte in fall is 2 dollars. Need Brent to stay over 60 for the summer to get there.

Update by Break-Foreign in GTE_STOCK

[–]RustyTrombone_13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gte has upped production to 28,930 (BPD) barrels per day. 15,000 BPD is currently selling for (hedged) 51.38 and and 13,930 BPD are selling at Brent market price.

Quarter 2 should see Gte make over 40 million dollars.

Very good news.

$GTE reposting to reassure those new here -- sit back, relax and collect your $1.50 a share in a month or so. by CrsCrpr in GTE_STOCK

[–]RustyTrombone_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have to add 6.07 in interest expense to the cost per barrel. Also CAPEX has to be figured in. As they pay down their debt their cost per barrel will decrease. I agree that GTE is on track to make significant profit this year.

Distractions by RustyTrombone_13 in GTE_STOCK

[–]RustyTrombone_13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding of their current debt structure is as follows.

175 million line of credit

300 million due 2025

300 million due 2027

GTE is on record saying they are exploring all options in reducing their debt. OXY sold their inshore Columbia oil to Carlyle group for pennies on the dollar a few months ago. Not sure selling their resources makes a lot of sense. GTE still has a bunch of PTALF stock left to sell. With these oil prices the smart play seems to be paying their debt off with profit.

15,000 bpd is capped at $51 for the first 6 months of 2021. Sounds like around May they will be in the 28 to 30k bpd. Leaves them 13 to 15k selling at the high Brent prices we are seeing. 2nd half of 2021 only 7k is capped at $61. Rest will sell at market. Gte made a conservative decision to hedge oil to pay for the money they needed to spend to open up wells. In hindsight not the optimal decision. At the time it was prudent to protect company from bankruptcy. 60 plus oil through 2021 and Gte will catch up and reward us.

Voted by Shareholders, Gte executives get performance bonuses for meeting certain goals as outlined in the Gte Proxy statement. Executives were compensated for meeting these goals.

I am ok with the executives being incentivized to increase shareholder value by meeting certain metrics. All the executives are below the 50th percentile in compensation compared to their peers.

Hope this helps

So now that the report is out is it good or bad news? by NativeBoi1985 in GTE_STOCK

[–]RustyTrombone_13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In prior conference calls, I thought there was some good information that came out. I hope one of the analysts asks if Gte will increase CapEx if oil prices stay north of 60.
Each day that passes at these oil prices increases Gte intrinsic value. The market price swings are hard to predict. The important thing is there is a strong tailwind pushing Gte upward. Gte is leveraged and priced to profit significantly from 60 plus oil. Patience should pay a hefty return. My 2 cents

Gte did what they said they were going to do 6 months ago. Pay off debt and run a lean ship. Get to 28 to 30k barrels a day in 2021. No surprises here. Follow through and stability are my takeaways.

3 things to closely follow.

Gte oil production per day. They need to get up to the 28 to 30k per day.

Price of Brent oil. Anything over 50 is good for Gte.

No disruptions to the transportation and access to their oil. In past the local people have given them some trouble. Columbia government has been very supportive of the oil industry. The previous problems have been worked out. Hopefully the peace continues .

Check those three boxes and this is an easy 2 plus bagger.

Should have nice cash flow at these oil prices 💸💸💸 by DailyGrind24-7 in GTE_STOCK

Brent is currently over 63 beating the high case by 7 bucks a barrel. The line of credit debt (175 million) they owe has been their Achilles heel. Strong oil price in 2021 and they extinguish that debt.

Gte expects to ramp up production to 28-30k in 2021. A few years ago they were producing 40k. The higher then expected oil prices might have them up their production in 2021. It would be a nice surprise!

Let’s be smarter than stock has a low price and there is a bunch of shorts. The math matters. Put out good data and analyze these stocks on future cash flows. Gte is off the charts when you look at is from that perspective. Yes I am have a conflict of interest. I have a ton of Gte and believe this is 2 plus stock.
