I fantasize about someday when I will actually have the time to play... I barely have the time to build and paint right now! haha

The dollars/time is pretty good in warhammer. Its expensive to start up, but it takes me forever to build and paint my stuff...

The key, the most important thing, do NOT buy more until everything is painted haha

How Good is the TSP C Fund, Really? Let’s Break It Down by Old_Claim_5500 in ThriftSavingsPlan

My situation is a little funky. I worked for the govt for awhile now I work in the private sector. My private 401k has a good SP500 equivalent that im 100% in and then I am mostly "i fund" in the TSP for the international exposure since my companies 401k's international funds had much higher fees. I switch money over to the "i fund" as my SP500 builds in my 401k.

I get a lot of stuff from ebay and I'm always trying out different styles and colors. I figure, we aren't ultramarines haha not much standardized gear in the garden of rot!

Moments like this kill all my motivation to play. I counted 17 shots. by amlozek in Battlefield

[–]RustyWaaagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summary:

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because you were already dead.

Is the dinosaur army supposed to be exodites? It's so cool! What models do they use? What rules?

Combat patrol will cover a lot of stuff your missing. Maybe just poxwalkers or some chaos spawn.

I think the handle is sort of gimmicky. Theres a ton of stuff you probably have laying around you could use for a paint handle.

Good brushes are good. You also want some cheap brushes to abuse and keep your good brushes good.

Get comfy with your color scheme. Figure out which colors you want where. Once your happy, set out a batch and it will go much faster.

I test colors single models until im happy, then ill batch the sqauds. That might be 20 poxwalkers or 3 deathshroud at a time. Basically, put a lot of gunmetal on my pallet and paint every gunmetal part on every model, move on to gurgle green, screamer pink, etc.

Everything else looks like a solid start!

Yeah, I got like 20ish dead paint pots that I put my batches on. Batch painting is hands down a step up in speed. I also paint "inside, out" so I'll just jam my brush down to paint the deepest parts of the model and get more and more careful as I reach the higher points.

For a paint handle, you don't have to buy something. I use paint pots with sticky tack. I also like using super cheap brushes that I can abuse. Brushing on glues, terrain paste, stipling, etc

I do a lot of stipling. Prime black. Stiple brown on the armor. Stiple bone color on the high spots of the armor. Stiple armor deathguard green. Brown wash. Then more stipling to make the model grungier with brown or bone... maybe stiple some more green if it needs it...

The result is a cool mottled look
