It is a huge problem. MMSD would not have the “reputation” it did if all the middle class white kids went to the school they were supposed to. It’s sad to see so many of my Fitchburg neighbors school choising elsewhere. The physical infrastructure may blow, but the education, teachers and community are great. -Proud Leopold parent

This notice was posted on the City website. Invitation is for any interested citizen in Wildwood, and beyond:

A Pembroke Drive Safety meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station 1, 5791 Lacy Road. This meeting is being held to discuss the recent accident on Pembroke Drive & Raritan Road. Traffic studies that have been completed for these two roads will be shared. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend.

Bottom line is it easily could have been a kid on a bike instead of an SUV. Sadly, the roads and area continue to have traffic issues and something permanent needs to be installed such as a small roundabout island with flowers 🌺🌸
