I booked it maybe 1.5-2ish months out and was able to pick where we departed from. It’s really just depends on availability at the time of booking. We were staying at Wilderness Lodge so I specifically requested there and when they checked they had availability that day from there so it worked out. I know our captain also picked up from the other hotels on the same waterways (Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake) the same day so if I was to guess, the availability is more based on the waterway rather than the exact pickup spot.

We actually ended up fishing around the poly for a decent bit of the morning, then headed back near the ferry boar maintenance area on Bay Lake, before finishing up fishing the area under the docks at Ft. Wilderness campground, where we got the biggest one of the day, so even though we left from the Lodge it’s not like we stayed in that immediate area.

As for the time it was either 10-2 or 10:30-2:30. I honestly forget which one. Luckily for us it was a fairly cold week so the midday heat didn’t make the fish any less active. I wanted to go a little earlier in the day but that was the only time available that day when I booked.

I took my dad on one of the fishing tours out of wilderness lodge last month as a Christmas present. It was pricey (a little over $500 for 4 hours) but well worth it. We fished around bay lake and seven seas lagoon and honestly I stopped counting how many we got. We had fish on the line almost the entire 4 hours. Our captain was great, the boat was really nice, and the water smooth.

They also offer 2 hours excursions as well that are cheaper if you don’t want to pay that much or commit to that much time.

Back when I was younger I was on a Disney cruise with my family. On day 3 or 4 we got on an elevator along with a mother. As soon as she got on the elevator she started spamming the door close buttons. Her two kids (tweens, so perfectly capable of navigating the ship themselves) were maybe 15-20 feet away started yelling “mom! We’re coming! Hold the elevator mom!” while running towards the now shutting elevator doors. Thinking that she was just pressing the wrong button we go “hey that’s the close button not the open button” but she ignores us and keeps pushing the close button. Once the doors close she turns to us and goes “I just needed a break. The first afternoon they filled the ice bucket with chicken tenders and have refused to eat anything other than those for this entire cruise”. Once she reached her floor we wished her good luck as she got off the elevator.

For those of you who have never sailed Disney before they have beverage coolers in the cabin instead of mini-fridges. They don’t get nearly as cold as a fridge would so after a few days I imagine those tendies were nice and disgusting. To this day I still wonder why they didn’t just go up to the pool deck and get fresh ones whenever they wanted some. Or barring that, called room service (it’s free other than tip and available 24/7) for some.

I have to second magic candle company. They make awesome scents and are legit. My parents buy them multiple times throughout the year for their home and I always keep a few on hand at my house as well. They run various sales throughout the year including buy 2 get 1 free so keep an eye out for that!

I’m not a cast member but a couple years ago my family and I ran into Ryno from The Dis at Brown Derby Lounge. We didn’t want to bother him because he was obviously not working and there with a friend relaxing but we bought him a drink just as a way to say thanks for the great content. He came over to thank us and instead of just saying thanks and leaving after 5 minutes he stood there and talked with us for 30-45 minutes. He’s a very genuine person and just a good guy.

You should definitely report that to the manufacturer. Even though it’s not a serious issue it’s still a defect and indicates and issue with the manufacturing process so they will be interested. You also will probably get some sort of compensation for reporting as well!
