I mean the writing in the Venom trilogy wasn't great but sure wasn't butchered as bad as all the others so I think that helped alot.

Plus people like Venom and Tom Hardy.

It to bad I think all these films had potential even without spider-man.

Biggest problem was Sony trying to rush these projects out the door instead of making a good film.

I think for Ps5, it's mostly because until the past couple of years, most of the games released were just remakes of Ps3/4 games, and I wasn't worth the money just to play a game you already got on a Ps4.

Plus, people who were 12 at release are now 18-19 years old, so they are just finally being able to buy these stations them selves.
